Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was under VTU 2018 Scheme, so for us the syllabus was little outdated. Many of the subjects or the technologies in the curriculum was already replaced by the new technologies. Still college tried to help us to learn new technologies by conducting workshops, having project based learnings and other competitions. But since the college has become Autonomous since 3 years the curriculum changes every year and new subjects are being added to enhance the quality of education for the students.

Placement Experience

5

The placements start in the start of 4th uear and goes till the end of 8th semester. Even during the time of recession for our batch almost 80% of the people have been placed thanks to the college placement team. The placement process was really easy and we were given proper placement training beforehand by the college. We were also trained by conducting various company -like exams before the start of the placement season. The placement cell was really very helpful and they solved all our doubts very clearly. We could even ask for mock interview and they would provide us with whatever resources we required. Even during the placement season we could go to the placement cell anytime and get our queries and doubts resolved. Even if you are not eligible for a particular company and you want to sit for that company, the placement cell used to help soo much to let the student sit for the test. The placements were good and no injustice was done to any student.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various ways you can take admission in the college. Few of these include through COMEDK, SAT, CET, AICTE-PMSSS, MANAGEMENT and others. People can also avail scholarships as mentioned in the state's scholarships portal like for sc-st scholarship and so on. The fees for management quota varies every year depending upon the fee set by the management. But for other admissions like COMEDK , CET, PMSSS the fees is as mentioned by the prescribed body. The college also provides information to students who want to avail any other scholarships apart from the mentioned.

Campus Life

5

My campus oife was very good. The college used to conduct 2 fests per year. In even sems we have Cultural fest called Utsaha and in odd sems we have Technical fest. Both the fests were conducted by the students and it helped a lot to learn new skills everytime. 3rd year students lead the fests and the juniors as well as seniors help them to conduct the fest easily and successfully. Talking about clubs there are various clubs in the college and there is no limit to join it. Few clubs have nominal fee to join and mostly don't charge money to join them.Clubs like Rotract, Google students club, Oikos, Robotics, Aero club, Sports club, NSS, NCC, etc clubs are present in the college. Many department clubs are also managed by the students in the college. The campus area is Little small but it doesn't limits the enjoyment in the campus. We have Food court, bakery, Canteen(kuteera) , stationary shop , Gym, Sports room, Badminton court, cricket ground, Football ground, present inside the campus

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is available in the college. Boys hostel have 3 blocks and is present inside the campus. Girls hostel have 2 hostels one present just outside the campus and one present in 4kms away from the hostel. The hostel fee will be incremented by Rs10k every year. The hostel facilities are really good. There are 2 sharing, 3 sharing and 4 sharing room available with a mess room, Tv room, Gym room and open terrace in the hostel. Each room has study table, chair and a big almirah provided for each student. There are no Acs but each bed has separate fan for them so there is no need for ACs. The food quality of boys hostel is very good comparetively girls hostel. In college during lunch break, girls hostel students can go to boys hostel to have lunch as there is separate mess room for girls in the boys hostel. Hostel facility is really good with good security and good wardens

Admission

The admission process is really easy and the college administration helps a lot during admission. I took admission through PMSSS quota and a deginated person from account section and a faculty member was assigned to me to ease the process of admission. Since i took admission during COVID 19 time the admission process was online and i could reach out to college anytime. But now admission process is fully offline and parents can visit college campus as well as hostels if they want to.

Faculty

4

The faculties of my branch are really well educated and most of them ahve secured PHD degree and very few are still pursuing their phd degree. The faculty to student ratio is good and they will try to solve your doubts anytime you go to them. The faculty will keep an eye on each and every student and will surely help you out if you r not performing well in the tests. We can interact with the teachers anytime and can even reach them out through calls or messages.

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
