Likes

The thing which I really like is that drc is academically very strong and they focus properly on studies and everything related to academic
I really like the people of drc and they are very welcoming very friendly and they areh very warm like max people are very nice

Dislikes

The thing which I disliked is that they focus onlyyy on academics and they should also focus on extra curricular activities
The societies are not as active as compared to other colleges and many societies are also not there in this college like enactus
The old infrastructure of drc is very bad the new is great the acs are great but the old is really bad

The curriculum is nice like it teaches u subject related to management commerce related accounting HRM eco etc andd likee I really think that they should focuss way less on the assignment.

The placement of our college is okayish like it's not in too big companies it's in small companies only nd we have a placement cell I'm not sure of the companies they got but they weren't really good they were okayish like not known companies 10-20 student's got placed according to me After this degree I'm planning for some process course

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is very high as compared to other Delhi University colleges bcoz they are not a part of dusu So the fees is 36000+ and like comparitively other colleges have 15-16 even 9k fees so it's very high according to me and I'm not really sure of the hike regularity bcoz it's been only one year to me We have to pay examination charges also around 1500-1600 before every semester exams Financial aids and scholarship are provided to single parents and those who are poor and can't afford or are either sc St it's for them only I don't know abt employment

Campus Life

The annual fest if manjari and it's very nicee comparitively of other colleges This year our manjari was on top 2 best one The books and etc are available in the library easily and technology is not too good it's okayish Sports and extracurricular im not satisfied with them Yes there are many social clubs and societies for earth protection environment for sanitary pads women etc

Admission

I have CUET for admission and initially cuet is for several universities but after second step I filled only for Delhi University which was csas form and there were had to fill a preference list according to our preference of course and college so They will allot u one college of any one course in each round according to cut off the cut off for North campus is 100% Exams are difficult only and It can improve as it's very complex.

The faculty members like it's a 60-40 thing like 60% of them are great and really good and nice but 40% of them don't know anything they just teach by book they just read the book only and nothing else it's just that and some of the teachers have actual knowledge and they adopt creative teaching like discussion and all but some just don't do anything they just read read and read and teachers soms some they aren't approachable at all they don't reply they don't open WhatsApp and the worst thing is they cancel last moment some times we come from far so they cancel last moment and management is okayish but some teachers are friendly and nice

supportive and approachable who explains concepts really well, like pallavi mam and shweta mam
good campus life like cafeteria area, library, and classrooms
active campus life with good opportunities to interact with other students

could get a bit crowded when both the shifts have classes

the whole reason i chose jims kalkaji is beacuse of placements it is popular for placements it offers multiple placements after your 3rd or 4th year of specializtion different multiple companies come here to pick students.

I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

Dislikes

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

Likes

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.

I applied to jnu, du, pondicherry university, university of Hyderabad and bhu. I got in all of them except jnu. After jnu , i found du to be other great option for pursuing masters . There are multiple colleges in du itself and I got drc according to my preference and cutoff. I put drc on fifth preference and its a good choice considering its ranking and overall prestige. college life

To be honest I only applied for Delhi University through CUET and I selected many colleges from DU like Miranda, Hansraj, Lady Shri Ram, Kirori Mal, many from the south and off campuses and in the first phase I got this college DRC and this course BA Programme English and History and I thought that this was an interesting course so that's why I chose this subject and college but if I could have upgraded my choices there was a chance that I could get seleced in other college but I chose to go with this option and some of my friends also got that college. I did not applieed for any other university/college except DU. To get to DRC college we have to attempt the CUET entrance exam from which we can get admission here by filling this college in your preference.For general category the cutoffs get so high for specifically north campus colleges, But as I belong to ST so that way it was a bit easier to get admission....Read More

This college is under the University of delhi and they have a totally different method of choosing their students as compared to other private colleges or universities. my awesome college drc
