RVCE review

The curriculum is very good and the course objectives are clearly defined for every course we study. But some of the courses were introduced way earlier than it should have been. Overall the curriculum is very similar to that of VTU.

The college provides internship opportunities from 4th sem itself which can be converted into PPO offers in the 5th , 6th semester. In the current year 6 students have got internship opportunities in Microsoft.

The placement statistics are very impressive. In ISE almost every student without a backlog is placed. The average package for ISE is around 16lac and CSE is 18lac and ECE is 10-12 lac.More than 200 companies visit the campus every year.

The tuition fee depends on how you get into the college. For CET-SNQ GM category the fees is 31110 prescribed by the government and 20k for skill labs but for CET GM and Comedk the fee varies anywhere between 90k to 2 lak and management seats are very costly. Scholarships are also available such as SSP FFE and etc.

Campus life is a little bit too much academic oriented. The main fest 8th mile takes place once every 2 years and E summit takes place every year along with a cultural fest , kannada habba . Support for sports is very good but due to construction not much infrastructure is available. The technical and non technical clubs are very well run.

The hostel rooms are fine , but the washrooms are shared washrooms and the food quality and taste is not recommended. The hostel fees is a bit costly when compared to the food and facilities provided. Registration for hostel is based on first come first serve basis.

The cutoff for CSE GM through KCET is well below 400 and we'll below 800 for ISE. Other entrance also include COMEDK . Reservation benefits can also be availed through KEA . It is very difficult to get into the institution.

Most of the lectures have completed their PHD and have a good knowledge about their subject. But every lecture is unique as with all the other colleges and hence some are very friendly and some are not.
