the campus of mcm college is quite beautiful and enviroment friendly
teaching style of the teachers is very nice
there are alot of activities in college which are participatable

Dislikes

the food in canteen is not as good as in other colleges
office management staff is a bit rude and sometimes don't bother what students say

As a student pursuing bcom in mcm college 1st year has been too nice and teaching way tge teachers was very impressive they helped the students alot and were very smart.This course was widely regarded in this college

Internships Opportunities

internships are there in the college but I am actually not aware at this time but our college do provide internships and there are alot of companies coming to the college for interviewing the students like Infosys sbi etc

Fees and Financial Aid

First of all there is admission fee which is approx rs 35000 for the first year and you also have to give prospectus fee to the college which was about rs 1000 or less but not more then examination fee only submitted in 1st semester about rs 350 placement and internships are nice in companies like Infosys

Campus Life

every year there are fests in college like diwali fest holi fest etc but the main fest of mcm college is meraki which is an annual fest you need pay a nominal amount to attend meraki there are very large number of books available in library like bhagwat geeta or related to your course sports is not much emphasised but ncc nss is doing great the conditions of benches is not so good almost in every class there are huge number of clubs student groups in the college

Admission

if u want to pursue bcom from mcm college you are required to score atleast 90 in 12th the cut off is very high u can find the form on the college website itself or u can also also fill the dhe form admission is based on merit basis the form will be out probably in June and there is counselling reservation benefits are like single girl child ,ews , sc any person living near border etc

Faculty

the teachers in the college are smart and helpful but there are some teachers which are a bit arrogant and don't even listen to the students other faculty members like teachers in library are very polite

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

From 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like tech mahindra, airtel, delloitte,etc visited for campus Placements. The highest package this year was 9 Lakhs. And average package this year was 6 lakhs. Near around 97% students got campus placement. After getting degree my plan is to opt for MBA in finance from a good reputed college .

MCM MY DREAM COLLEGE

The reputation and ranking of MCM is really nice in north india and specially in tricity! PGGC SECTOR 11 & 42 these are also good but they have a very large crowd of students women like kangana raunaut and yami are also a student of this college giving it a extra bollywood vibe!
