MCM MY DREAM COLLEGE

There are wide range of subjects to choose from such as economics, geography, mathematics, music political science and so many other subjects compulsory subjects are also there as I mentioned in last paragraph it gives a good theoretical knowledge however i feel there is a less of practical knowledge provided there is a very less of real world application ! MCM works on panjab university standards

The year wise was 14,000 something per year! Admission fee was 500 rupees. There was reservation for SC, ST, and EWS! There was a online portal DHE something where we can collectively apply for all colleges of tricity! Due to covid everything was dont online ! After the merit list was out on DHE portal we have to apply on the official website of MCM to finalise our admission!

It has a vibrant college life! MCM has students from all across the country making it a good way to interact due to student diversity there is also a cultural exchange made a lot of friends from himachal! There is good bonding between the students of our college! being a all girls college we had open conversations and there were many events held too we use to play music in our ground too it used to be really fun! There were subject specific clubs as well we had one for psychology too! The campus life was amazing the canteen food used to be super yum

The reputation and ranking of MCM is really nice in north india and specially in tricity! PGGC SECTOR 11 & 42 these are also good but they have a very large crowd of students women like kangana raunaut and yami are also a student of this college giving it a extra bollywood vibe! Mcm have more experiencef faculty in psychology as compared to other colleges. MCM has a well maintained campus with good facilities admission was on merit basis

faculty members were super supportive and approachable however their is very less practical exposure. We were to select a combination of major and minor subjects like psychology, english economics. There were 3 compulsory subject : English, Punjabi/ History or culture of punjab these two were in all semesters and other 3 we could choose! ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES a mcq based paper covered in first year only we gave this exam online! Interal assessment was 20-30% approx like if economics paper is of 100 , 20 is assigned by our professor rest 80 is theory! There was a practical exam as well for psychology 70 marks theory 30 practical & viva and 10-20 was for internal assessment . Exams are held after every 6 months! results were announced on panjab university official website for every semester! beyond academics students were encouraged to participate in debates, cultural events and NCC & NSS programs there were several seminars and workshops organised in college too

We use to go near our college market sector 36 there were so many places to eat there! our cafeteria was a good place to hangout too we use to go for a walk near rose garden and elante and sector 21 for shopping and food! It was completely safe in chandigarh to roam around at night best prantha's we had near panjab university night market! Sector 15 for chinese food I did not stay in hostel!
