Likes

Library : Good Books are available in library.
Ground : full of trees and plants, full of greenery.
Hostel rooms : furniture, colour of walls.

Dislikes

Mess food : repeat menu, same dishes, ugly plates.

Course Curriculum Overview

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for bcom is around 12000 per semester. I got sc scholarship of 5000 last year means during my first year. And you guys can apply for public scholarships like from websites like buddy4study.com. fee concession is also available for general category students

Campus Life

Annual function is celebrated in college auditorium in april. Books of course as well as for competitive exams too are available and novels are also available. Sports day is celebrated in college ground. I'm not in any club so no personal experience regarding it.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms at hostel are spacious. Furniture is nice. 5 tube lights in one room. 3 girls share one room. Meals are repeated. Menu is same always. Quality of food is okay. But sometimes its bad. Registration form and guardians are required for hostel. Fees is quite affordable. But due to lack of goid quality food it doesn't seem worth it.

Hostel Fee: INR 600000 per year

Admission

In the application form you have to fill the preferences. I filled this college and got selected in this in the very first councelling. Admission eligibility: 12th pass. You're not required to give any entrance.

Faculty

Faculty here is not soo good. Like very few teachers are who genuinely know how to teach. Some teachers just read from books. They only know to just complete syllabus. They don't care whether students got it or not.

Night Life

College has gym in sports complex. It has canteen, Nescafe and juice shop and street food shop too. Hostel closes at 6pm. Campus time, classes starts from 9:00 AM onwards. You can go Panjab University, sukhna lake, Rock garden, 22 market.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like tech mahindra, airtel, delloitte,etc visited for campus Placements. The highest package this year was 9 Lakhs. And average package this year was 6 lakhs. Near around 97% students got campus placement. After getting degree my plan is to opt for MBA in finance from a good reputed college .

So I got admission through merit basis , in which I applied i applied in about 20 colleges but got selected only in 5-6 colleges in which some colleges were cohead and other were girls college.
