Likes
- The campus is very much explorable and there are a lot of things to do on campus when bored.
- The facility of having availability of food whenever we are hungry is awesome it is almost round the clock.
- Hostel rooms are very nice to hangout with people as they provide you with personal space as well as the privacy required.
Dislikes
- Fractal Academics are something i disliked due to the fact that increases the frequency at which we take exams and it feels like we are writing exams very 15 days or so.
- The mess food is a bit repetitive and would love to have some kind of variation in it.
- Sometimes it felt like our needs were ignored when put against what the officials wanted to be done,
Course Curriculum Overview
There is a lot of practical physics and physical chemistry involved so that peaked my interest and alos we are taught basic engineering tools like mathematics and programming which are very much helpful going forward through the semesters.
Internships Opportunities
I was offered an internship in Raizz Products and solutions as a cybersecurity intern with a pay of 10,000 /- per month. and i cannot reveal anything that i do cuz i have signed a non- disclosure agreement for that purpose.
Placement Experience
The campus plcaements are very good even after considering the present recession situation. 22 lpa on averagei would say not sure but the highest was 90 LPA domestic and thats pretty good considering IITH to be a 2nd Tier IIT.
Fees and Financial Aid
I dont have any such comments about the fees because i honestly think we are getting our money's worth on this campus. I got a Loan from one of the banks on college campus. SBI rate of interest is 8.65%. I have no campus employement yet but am looking forward to joining clubs.
Campus Life
We have some or the other event frequently but you'll have to take part in the work that needs to be done to make the event successful too. The calles are equipped with smart boards and mostly the teaching is done through slides. The Club culture is very vibrant here and the sports aspect is also very good as we have an indoor sports complex. We have Tinkerer's Lab in IITH which helps you to build a project if you are willing to do so. The people here are very friendly and very easy to socialize with and you can find people who have a lot in common with you.
Hostel Facilities
The room has a cupboard, a desk, a metal chair and a cot. The room has 24/7 access to it and full 1 gigabit ethernet. The quality of meals in the mess is exceptional. The registration of mess changes every month so that you can choose from either of the messes on campus. And all the resgitration and stuff is handled by the hostel office in IIT Hyderabad.
Admission
You need to qualify from JEE advanced. My rank was 6843 and I got it, to check for any info reagrding the cut-offs I strongly recommend the JoSAA website for any such info. As per benefits the Reservations like SC and ST and PH need not pay the tuition amount of 100000 per sem.
Faculty
I exactly dont know the number, but i would say we have a decent enough number. It is good enough to have one on one interaction with students from time to time to nurture the student and guide them through something they want to achieve
