All about R V College of Engineering

I prepared for JEE ADVANCED from Kota , my aim was to get the best college and have to study CS subject and explore more about this . I always fascinated by how these websites work app work and related things. When my counseling is going on I haven't get any good Govt. Colleges like IITs, NITs and I gave comedk and get the chance here in RV ISE so I chosen this . About the curriculum that influence me to choose different Programming language like Java in my first yr and then C . In RV the scheme is revised in every 3 yr and we are studying the totally new scheme of 22 . Teachers are also ready to prepare the curriculum which help us for real world application and Experience learning will play major role in that . In which we have to use the course subjects and make model , website and apps also . There are 3 internals along with labs and 1 external which makes us a bit hectic. Difficulty level depend on the subject if Data Structure & Algo paper is there then it must be tougher side.

Internship is mandatory in 2nd yr of college, if students get internship by their own then well and good. Otherwise college itself provide internship under COE - Centre of excellence in which student will pay to the college and do their internship and recieve certificate according to their branch and field. By the way many companies come for hiring intern from the 2nd yr onwards. Microsoft hire 6 intern this year . College also give more priority on project and showcase them on LinkedIn. Projects like create a website , face expression detection and apps using different tools put them on git hub .

I choose RVCE only for this reason "PLACEMENT" Really RV has good placements, I'm an ISE undergrad , the placement of this year is best till now from ISE only the Highest package got in Uipath of 92 Lpa . I met him once in the department who got 92 Lpa . His name is Rakshith Hegde. From 4th sem company visit for internship program. The placement will start from 6th sem and continue. Most of the students get placed in their 3rd year itself and they also visit to their company in 7th and 8th sem. Those who didn't get placed they try in 4th yr and get placed. Companies like Microsoft, Uipath, HPE , Oracle, Greenlight, Tekion , fedelity investment, cohesity, JPMC, Blue Yonder,Hyperface, and many more. All these companies gave placement to our seniors. Almost all students get placed from ISE & CSE and other branches have also good placements scenario.(More than 90% students get placed). My plan is also to get good placement and work in top one of the company like "MAANG" .

In RV there are 3 mode of taking admission, First Kcet for Karnataka students Second COMEDK for other states students and Karnataka also Third Management Quota. So all have different rules and policies. I am from COMEDK so I can tell you about this Our fee will not increase 2.5 lakhs for whole 4 year as I have Bonafide certificate and college fee structure which clearly mentioned it . Same for hostel fees also . My complete cost of education is about 16 lakhs(tution fee+ Hostel fee) and about 1 lakh on travelling and other expenses. Mainly scholarship are provided to the Karnataka backward students, not for us . Campus provide internship, you have to crack good internship to get better stipend. Many companies like Microsoft, Sap , etc come from 4th sem for CSE , ISE students . And for campus placement from 6th Sem . Teachers and Placement cell organize their training and development. Job roles like SDE , web dev ,Data consultant and many more

Campus life in RV is not like other government colleges, here academic activities are more . Clubs are there but you have to work a lot. Your management skills are really important to handle both academic and clubs. All types of clubs are in RV Technical and cultural, Lot of prizes they win . Like Ashwa Racing they represent India in Russia and also Winner, also in Formula one racing ,Astra Robotics , Coding club of RVCE, . Cultural club like Alaap represent RVCE in Mood indigo IIT Bombay, and win first prize this year . So from all these I can say clubs and involvement in RV is pretty good . If you really have talent then you can excel in different activities. Annual fest is 8th mile and technical fest is E-summit . Library and journals are present in good range. Sports and extracurricular activities are also provided our basketball team they won the final match with MSRIT . The volleyball team also won in VTU inter sports competition and many more.

I am hostel student from first yr. Hostel is best place for us . We all met for the first time and became a family. Best life you will get in hostel. So Rvce has 5 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel Boys hostel are Krishna, cauvery, Annex , chamundi and. M V for senior . Annex has 3bed sharing and common bathroom and I am annexian . Others are 2 bed sharing and common bathroom. In chamundi both 2 and 3 bed sharing room are available. In M V single bed room are available. Girls hostel is Diamond Jubilee in short "DJ" 3 bed sharing and common bathroom. Mess is completely veg and both north Indian and south Indian food is provided. Total 4 times meal is provided Breakfast, Lunch, snacks and dinner. Food is sometimes very good and sometimes not too good but edible. After the admission you can apply for the hostel and if rooms are vacant then staff will show the room first then you pay the hostel fee and you can stay there.

3 ways to get into RVCE as I have already explained in previous questions. Kcet and COMEDK entrance exams through which you can take admission in RV . Syllabus of the exams are similar to 11th and 12th PCM . Questions levels are easy to moderate. In COMEDK 180 questions are there to solve within 180 minutes with no negative marks. Similar type of pattern for kcet . Another way to take admission by Management Quota but fee is very high that you can check on rvce official website In COMEDK the cut off for CSE is less than 400 rank ISE score less than 650 rank , CSE (Data science) score less than 600 rank like that Rank you have to achieve so that you can get Rv easily. Reservations are only for kcet students There are many categories like 1A , 2B ,SC, SNQ , and many. all have different kind of fees. Exam happens only once in a year. Mainly areas where they improve in admission process by reducing the less numbers of Management Quota students and increase more seat for Comedk & cet

RVCE has good number of faculties, almost all of them have their PhD but most of them are from Karnataka itself. One faculty can teach 60 students in a class. In every classroom, smart board is there so teachers can teach on it using PPTs. All relevant things will be send us on email or in Google classroom. One mentor can address 20 students. (1:20). When our classes were started in first yr, we all students assembled in seminar hall and our Hod address to us regarding all the information, so whenever we have any type of problem suppose regarding the subject the talk to your faculty directly and contact them on what's app or mail also . Regarding other problems first you tell to your mentor, if problem is not solved then go to the Hod and mail everything to your mentor and Hod . The system is systematic and approachable. I interact with teachers in classes most often otherwise I text them and meet them. They are really good.
