Course Curriculum Overview

5

On the basis of curriculum, I would say the bests part is in each semester we have a subject called SEC, this paper helps us to improve our skills i.e. TORA, R, MATHEMATICA etc. these are few examples of it. I don't think there's some need of improvement in teaching style but I would suggest teachers to continue the pattern in which they are going. Paper level is easy if you have studied and if you don't have studied then easy paper would seem to you the toughest thing in the world.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Muskurahat Foundation, Zomato and there would be another internships also, as I was not involved in internships from college. But yes, college provides a lot of internships. DU provides summer and winter scholarships

Placement Experience

4

From 4th semester, students become eligible for placements and for that you have to give 2 exams one is written exam and another one is interview round. I don't think so if any company visits deal are made up. I think 21 Lakh was the highest package and it was from Deloitte company ig. You should have 8+ CGPA and involved in extra curriculum activities, in short I would say your CV should be strong.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was increased last to last year, and this was little much high as infrastructure is under construction so I don't think that fees they are taking is worthu for us. But in mathematics, you will get all the facilities you deserve or your course needed. Scholarships are also available many kind of scholarships you can attain, few are reservation based and few are family income based but you attain it by attaining highest number in your course.

Campus Life

4.5

I have worked as Sponsorship team member, marketing team member and many more things. The library is amazing, good sitting arrangement and almost all books are available. Classrooms are just 50-50, few class rooms have ACs but not in all. Sports complex need some improvement as there's no such facilities for sports students. There's only sports grounds. In last month, number of equipments brought to sports complex for indoor activities only, for outdoor activities there's no such facilities available. Society works for social groups and there are a lot of societies around 35. NSS is also there.

Admission

Yes, entrance exam us there to get admission in DRC. You have score above 95% and then there are chances to get admission. The cut off varies on reservation based again. But minimum marks should be 80%+. After getting those marks, you can book your sit in Daulat Ram College. For general category there should be ease in cut offs. And again you have to prepare for exams as they are not that much tough but you have to study.

Faculty

5

Faculty Members are PhD. holders and most of them are IITians and they all have super duper experience of teaching. They keep lecture interactive so that 2 hours long lecture doesn't appear like 2 hours. Class size is good. Faculty Members are our mentor for academic purposes and if we have some kind of stress and we are suffering from something, we can openly talk with them without any fear, kind of judgement.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.

the college has an active placement cell however we as science kids do not rely on it much as it is majorly commerce dominated. There isnt much placement or internship recognition for science kids but it is acitvely improving with more professionals gracing our college campus with new opporunities every now and then.
