Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum has been updated in our year and so far, it has been interesting, especially since we have found out that the topics that were being taught in higher semesters earlier are being taught to us.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly tution fee of our college is around what you will find in most DU colleges, rounding up to about 10,000. However, for the economically weak, bonafide scholarship has been provided under which this fee also gets reimbursed. Other than this, we only have to pay an examination fee each semester which is about 1200. There is no other mandatory fee except for special situations-like being fined by the college, which can also be reimbursed.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life in SBSC is very wild and exciting if you go to the right places. This year, we held our annual fest for the first time by April end- Kalakriti and it had big companies sponsering the event like Pepsi and Decathlon. Other than that, the cultural and sports clubs of the college are very active and constantly travel to other colleges, in and out of delhi and win positions there. The library of SBSC is also the only two- floored library in the university, with a wide range of books available, it is open till 8PM and Monday-Saturday. However, one can issue books there only till 3PM.

Admission

The admission process in the university itself was very smooth once the results of our CUET( the entrance exam conducted by NTA) were out. There was a form that needed some fee, we just have to be really careful while filling the details and the form, once out can be found on the official DU website. There was no hassle as the process was completely online. We just had to fill our CUET score and then the preference list (which one needs to be really careful about) , then wait for the results and then simply accept the seat, all done online.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members here are particularly helpful and nice, approable and seriously have the best interest of the students in mind. They go above and beyond, having special weekly sessions that are informal to discuss things ranging from the course related topics to just having nice debates and a good time. They are always ready to guide you with their experience and wisdom and the age range of the faculty is quite diverse so you can contact anyone accordingly.

Government university is any day better than a private one for BA courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find thr course curriculum quite relevant. Geography is a very dynamic and practical subject and our course is designed that way to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the course. We usually have two theory and one practical subject related to the course providing all the necessary learning and also preparing us for further research work.
