Coarses were holistic, It covered topics from Engineering to humanities like economics and it also had fun topics like movie review where we discussed about some great movies in detail like The Pursuit of Happiness!

Fees and Financial Aid

Coarse fee was minimal, it was 50000 per sem and hostel fees was also minimal that is 12000 per semester and I also got scholarship on the basis of merit cum means! it helped in managing expences and not being dependent on parents

Campus Life

it was very good, i was part of musci club, drama arts etc. it provided holistic personality development and led to boost in confidence, I was also alloted the oppportunity to represent my college at other colleges!

Hostel Facilities

HOSTEL PROVIDED WERE NEAT AND CLEAN, THEY WERE SHARED BUT FULL OF AMBIENCE AND SPACE AND I WAS ABLE TO DO MY ACTIVITEIS LIKE STUDIES PEACEFULLY AND IN A THE GROUP IT ALSO PROVIDED OPPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP BONDS

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

It was based on counselling of JEE ADVANCED called JOCSAA at that time, I was alloted Electrical Engineering at IIT Ropar on the basis of my Rank in JEE after that process was easy and mostly online and then college was alloted

Faculty

Teachers were all PHD and post doctorate, teacher to student ratio was good, they were also available for clearing doubts 24*7 even at their quarters, this showed their zeal towards teaching. They were also quite frank and we can share our problems with them.

LPU has no errors!

Placement Experience:

Mid cap to large cap, every company that can afford our students services are invited to our university for hiring students. Thus far nearly 500 organizations have been invited to our university and a good bit of placements percentage is also there. No students of our university recruited have come under fire and therefore the companies which have laid faith in LPU students have kept hiring year after year.

Like at IET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

As I mentioned this college is new and they have no past data to show about their placement but they have good tie up with some of the giants of industry including IBM and when their SME comes to provide lectures ut really boosts your energy and motivation. But still there can't be any assurance of placement as of now untill our batch get placed successfully

My Journey and experience at my College

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

LPU is indeed a professional university!

Placement Experience:

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Placement Experience:

On campus Placements are average here. The highest package goes to 19 lakhs and Average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. However we can not expect any MNC to visit this campus but the companies for freshers and to gain experience visit the campus.

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
