Campas is big having 3 grounds to play and a swimming pool not for swimming just a good place to vibe.
Location is great just a prime spot on sector 5.

Dislikes

The campus remains under construction for years its gaining heights.
The lift is a big problem since so much student pressure and very less no of lifts.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed by MAKAUT. So being a private college atleast they try to finish as much as they can before exams. But exam papers are becoming average day by day due to immense strict modulation of papers from the University.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Well being a Private college they increase the fees every year by around 10 percent. So day by day education is becoming expensive as the country believes more in business rather than education. Being a top private college of kolkata Campusing is still now good with avg package of around 7lpa.

Campus Life

VARIOUS CLUBS LIKE GEEKONIX, IIC, SAMARTH will help student built leadership qualities and gain some extra knowledge. Anankuran the cultural club organizes gigantic fests and events like freshers teacher's day... Sports club is also there conducting annual sports .

Admission

Wbjee and JEE mains are the entrance exam to join the college. But since it's a private college so management quota is always there. Pay an extra of 5-6 lakhs and get admission easily. Techno probably has now introduced a direct entrance test also.

Faculty

Most of the faculty are well qualified and have a PHD in the following subjects. Although many come for short span of 1 2 yrs and leave which affects the bonding with teachers. Majority of them done their degree from JU. Few are X faculties of IITs Or NITs.

Placement are average like any other private colleges. Don't expect too much. Average package is like 5 lpa .But since it is in saltlake which is the it hub of North East we have plenty of options to apply for offcampus of no placement is given in college.

Placement Experience:

The college has a very professional Training and Placement committee. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro visit the college for placement. My department (ECE) has an average of 7LPA. Last year the highest pakage was 85 LPA which was secured by one of our esteemed seniors in JP Morgan Chase. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon also visit our college for placements. The only disadvantage is maximum of these companies are visiting for mass recruit profiles. I plan to go for an MS in USA after securing my degree.

The college lowdown

Placement Experience:

From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc 70% plus gets placed every year. Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements. After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

Survival Guide of NIT Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Placements at NIT Durgapur are phenomenal. Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester onwards. Some of the visiting companies include Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC. They offer attractive packages to students, with the highest placement being 50 LPA. The average placement for all the students is around 11LPA. For branches like CSE, ECE and EEE, the average is consistently above 16-17 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80% for CSE students. My plans after getting the degree will be to work in the industry for 1-2 years and then proceed to higher studies abroad.

From Classrooms to Careers

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There have been quite a few companies that have visited the campus like Nutanix, Accenture, Deloitte, EY GDS, IBM, etc. Variable packages ranging from 4-11lpa have been offered. Till now the percentage of students getting placements is relatively low.

I applied for the jee exam but couldn't cracked, they applied for wbjee i got an 8k rank, on that rank I was getting only this college, and a few other, i don't go to Hit Haldia bcoz they are in the village area, reason come here is due to more faculty member in my branch, in IT branch we have 30 faculty member, that's a more reason to come, one more reason is easily accessible of transport, it only take 15 rupee from Kolkata station to my college that's why...Read More
