Course Curriculum Overview

In total we have six semester's. Two semester per year with internal marks of 70 and external marks of 30. We also have practical sessions with helps us to experience things which are present on board.

Class Size: 52Course Fees: INR 325000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Here, for BSC(Nautical science) we pay 3,25,000 per year as fees. It is a course of 3 years and placements over here are really good as compared to most of the colleges around. I highly prefer this college for those who pursue this course.

Campus Life

As this is a maritime training institute we can experience an good and neat atmosphere inside the campus. Also this college doesnt appear to be as other normal colleges. As cadets are from different regions, we get good exposure

Admission

There is entrance exam which is to be cleared for applying for these marine colleges. The exam is IMUCET Entrance exam. It consists of general aptitude and basic 12th realted questions. We can apply for councelling after the result is announced

Faculty

Many staffs here are retured captains and has good experiences at sea. Even staffs who are currently sailing is also taking class which helps us to get the current affairs going on at sea. They are really interactive with students.

I interested in science and my senior who was a botany graduate in my college said that the lab is superb that's why I chose microbiology.but the lab doesn't have enough requirements which greatly become a barrier for us to get practical knowledge

Actually the college provides placement for the students and especially to the lower background students at the max. The college collaoborate with the govt. dept. to create placement drives in the college. The salary is not that much attractive still its okay only.

The placement will be happening for the 3rd year students who have registered already by paying 6000 rs. The topics companies like Accenture, TCS, wipro,etc come for placements. The highest package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum . I am opting for higher studies.

Quite impressive

Remarks:

The infrastructure of the college campus is very good and peaceful as well. My college has a vast library which works from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m on all working days and study holidays. Here if a student wants to borrow any other books other than his/her course, they need to seek prior permission of the Principal to get them books.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

I have applied to Angelo eastern. But the exam date is after HIMT's joining date. I have already sponsored by a shipping company called BSM, they told me to take the course from this college and complete the course with minimum 65% aggregate.
