What Students Say

Likes

Teaching is good.Professors are helpful more or less
There are a lot of scholarship opportunities and student loan system which help student to give their fees
The placement is all over good.However due to layoff and down market the placement this year was less.

Dislikes

The placements policies ar very struct which doesn't allow student to explore more.
The sessions are of 9 months so the pressure on the students is very high for some particular branches.

Course Curriculum Overview

The difficulty level of exams are moderate to difficult.Exams takes place twice every semester.One midterm and one end term.other than that internal marks are also taken into credit while giving grade to a student.

Internships Opportunities

There are paid internships opportunities for students in 3rd year.Many of the companies give FTE or Pre placement offer to students based on thir performance during the internship.In internship students are given project which are assessed later.

Placement Experience

Students can get placement here from the campus and after the 3rd year students are eligible for placement session.Mostly 60-70% student get placement every year.After getting the degree I will join the company where I got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees can be given by student loans.Also there are a lot of scholarship opportunities here.And also there is fee waiver given to certain categories of student having weaker financial background.I got a campus pre placement offer and a paid internship.

Campus Life

The campus Is beautiful and away from the noise of citylife.There are a lot of student run clubs.Other than dance,music,and literary club there are gaming club and club which help needy students to get education.Students are also active in different sports.

Admission

On the basis of jee rank the students can enter.There is a 50% home state reservation and other caste reservations for SC,st,ews,obc and also female reservations.the whole process takes place through josaa and selected candidates then report for physical registration.

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is low but faculties are very helpful and approachable.The learning experience is good.And students can interact with their faculties anytime they need any help.However some faculties can be rude.

All about NIT Agartala

Placement Experience:

As the NIRF ranking is going high year by year, companies are coming less and giving less preffer to NITA, Previous 2 years CSE, ME, CE students got 99% placement of avg. 8 LPA and one student got 1.2 cr off campus.

Eyeopener

Placement Experience:

From third year students are eligible for campus placement and internships. Many companies visit like Microsoft , CISCO , L&T , Mahindra etc . Highest package offered was 52lpa in tech and 20lpa in core and average package is 9lpa. Around 75% student get placed . My plan is to do M.tech by qualifying GATE exam .

Life in Nit Agartala

Placement Experience:

Placements are good enough if you if your skills are much better than others if your CG is at least above them 8.5 then you will definitely get a good package so many companies comes to our college including Microsoft Google Amazon etc.. highest package of last year is 68 lpa

NIT Agartala is one of the most prettiest colleges in India!!

Placement Experience:

From Gaya Steel, to JK Tyres and companies involved in production were the ones who gave us placements. On and average production engineers at our college were paid around 4-5 lakhs a year. The lowest of all but still in top corporate houses as no start-ups are into production. This established names where the one who gave us placements.

JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

Placement Experience:

The market is down these days so placement is not very good but yeah i would say its average not that bad. In 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements and company starts visit to campus. Sicne the placement season just started so the process is going on but yeah deollite, oracle, sigmoid, globallogic and many more came and offer jobs. The highest package on campus is nearly about 23lpa which is offered by British Petroleum and average package may vary from 10lpa to 14 lpa. Almost 96% student got placed every year rest are seeking for higher studies and appear in Gate exams. I will take job and start my corporate journey.

Students become eligible for placements after coming in 7th semester which is the start of 4th year. Multiple companies from both tech and core field visit the campus. Ex: Samsung, Microsoft, phonepe, LNT, Bhel, TCS , Infosys, Tata motors, Reliance, Google , linkedin etc. The highest package in the campus is 65-LPA offered by linkedin. Life at NIT Agartala: A Perfect Blend Of Academics, Opportunitites, and Campus Vibes

Placement Experience:

Placments at NIT Agartala are strong, with students becoming eligible for campus recruitment from 7th semester. Top compines include Google,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Nvidia,Samsung,BEL and public sector units(PSUs). The highest package goes upto 50 LPA in software roles, while the average package ranges from 8-12 LPA for core and tech roles. Around 80-85% students secure placements, with higher percentage in CSE,ECE and core branches. After completing my B.Tech in ECE, I plan to explore opportunities in core electronics, Embedded systems, or software development, leveraging my academic background annd internship experiences.

My views on NIT-A

Placement Experience:

Placements records are pretty good and it's improving with time. The nirf ranking of nit Agartala among the engineering colleges has also reached 82 from 91 so it's a good walk . And there's no unemployment of the student has the potential.

Eyeopener

It is long journey of hard work how i get in this college and course . First I qualified JEE main but not got good rank so I got Biotech branch in NIT Agartala according to my rank . But I studied well in first year and scored a high CGPA and slided my branch to Mechanical . I have in all top NITs but not got a ceat there . Admission is only through JEE main rank . JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

When I was applying to collleges, I appeared for JEE Mains and applied to other NITS and IIITS , My aim wwas to secure admission in reputed national institutes with good placements. I got admission in NIT Agartala(ECE Branch),which i chose over other colleges because of NIT brand value, national-level peer group, alumini network. I couldn't make it to the top tier NITS and IIITS as my JEE rank was slightly higher than their cutoff range. The competition is extremely tough and even a few marks can make huge difference in rank. The admission process is conducted through JoSAA/CSAB councelling based on score, For btech admission,JEE main is the accepted and most prefrred exam. The basic eligibilty is passing 10+2 wiht Physics ,Chemistry and Maths. Cutoff vary depending on category and branch.
