Wbjee or direct admission with 12th marks From science background with physics and mathematics as main subjects along with biology/chemistry/computer science assignment optional subject. Minimum 60% in class 12th.

Course Curriculum Overview

Firstly I chosed computer science and engineering as my core subject because I'm passionate about this course from childhood. It will also allow me to build a career in a very necessary fields in now-a-days like artificial intelligence and machine learning, Dara science, cyber security etc.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 44000000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees almost 6 lakhs for computer science engineering and 3.5 lakhs for computer applications and etc. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship available for West Bengal Board's Students. Student Credit Card ( Education Loan ) is also available.

Campus Life

Annual tech fest is here, annual cultural fest is here named Mridang. Library is too good along with the nice and large enough reading room. Classrooms are smart and fully Air conditioning. Annual sports is here named JIS’SPIRIT.

Faculty

Faculty members are good and very friendly. They really cover whole syllabus before mid sem and end They are very friendly. They help us to solve our doubts. Always student friendly behaviour. Campus is very eco friendly and ragging free...

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
