Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus of the course is highly competitive exam oriented like NET,GATE exams. Syllabus is easily understandable and couse structure is highly efficient. Exams will be conducted by department itself and result will be published within one month

Internships Opportunities

University provide internship opportunities in the month of june and july. We will the opportunity to do internships in many prestigious institutions like IIT and IISc. Faculties are encouraging students to experience this unique opportunity,and some departments also provide fields trips in their field of expertise.

Fees and Financial Aid

University doesn't provide any placement opportunities till now. Most of the scholarships that students availed would be provided by many organisations like e grants and mamy central government institutions

Campus Life

Campus spread over an area of 1000 acres with very good infrastructure. Students in university are friendly and highly encouraging. In every week there will be atleat 2 cultural and sports programmes hosted by different departments and student organisations

Hostel Facilities

University provide hostel accommodation for most of the students. Hostel will allowted based first come will be served first manner Hostel admission procedures are very easy and efficient. Hostel are very tidy and provide 24 hour wifi connectivity Many pg and rent rooms are available near locality

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Admission is based on cuet pg exam scores. Exams are comparactively easy. Admissions are done once in a year. Admissions procedures are very easy and less time consuming. University also provides different reservations to students from different categories

Faculty

All faculty members are highly qualified and also pocess research experience. Faculties are encouraging and very supportive. Faculties often initiate discussions regarding teaching topic,competitive exams and career opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my course we are learning a lot of theory papers like cultural studies , gender and queer studies , subartern studies , critical approches to theories and so on. Even in the thrid sem i had a project of translation under one of the best facutly in our department. This strengthens my resume. These syllabus are really helpful to participate clear competetive exams like ugc net . We had a lot of questions from our syllabus in the previous exam. To tell about the exam , timing is 3 hour for every paper. We dont have any practicals or labs. Paper inclues 2 marks , 5 marks and 15 marks.

Pondicherry University - A Haven or Home? For students

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements after their second semester. That is when recruiter officers approach students for their interest and interviews. Amazon is one of the main recruiters. The average package is 5lpa starting. 40% get placed. My plans are to pursue a PhD after my master's.

I applied to Jamia Millia Islamia for biotechnology which I didn't got due to my low score in entrance exam and I also tried to get into lovely professional University which I cancelled due to the high fees. Then my next option was Pondicherry University, the prime reason I came here is because of the course. Clearing CUET examination is required for the admission. Actually, the admission process was really smooth and fast at Pondicherry University, compared to other central universities, such as DU, JNU, BHU and HCU. So I also applied for criminology and police administration in Sardar Patel university but I fell ill during the time of admission.
