Likes

The student background is very diverse. Students with high CAT percentile are there. Students who have previously worked at Big MNCs , Big fours like EY Deloitte etc are there. Freshers are from reputed colleges who have been toppers in their batches

Dislikes

The placement is not not very good considering its an IIM. It's a baby iim so it's understandable. It is improving. Secondly the companies are mostly startups and not big firms.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very diverse. There are only compulsary courses in first year and second year comprises of electives. That also you need not select a field. You can choose from the variety of electives.

Internships Opportunities

Summer internship opportunity is provided by the college and many big companies like Microsoft BNY ICICI Bandhan Bank IBM Suzuki TCS etc come for placements. Startups also come . Majority are startups.

Placement Experience

Placement is good for freshers and even with ex people who want to switch field. Average placement is around 17 lpa which gives a good ROI. Almost everyone gets placed in both summer placements and final placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Iim nagpur is best when it gives to scholarships. Merit scholarships are given. Need cum merit based scholarships are also given. Fee is 20 lakhs for 2 years. Loan assistance is provided by different banks. College also assists for loan

Campus Life

The social life at IIM Nagpur is very happening. There are so many clubs committee and SIGs that you can be a part of. Festivals and fests are frequently conducted by the college. You won't miss home much. The campus is always awake.

Admission

The admission was through CAT. Cutoff is generally around 90 percentile for General students. Sectional cutoff was 70. After then interview process was conducted by iim nagpur individually. From next year interview process will be conducted through CAP round

Faculty

Faculties are highly qualified. Some of them are from IIM Ahmedabad and have worked at big MNCs. They are also coaches and trainers . They also help in placement opportunities and are very approachable.

Interview Experience

Only personal interview round was conducted during interview. GDs are not a part of iim nagpur admission process. And the written test which was conducted was only CAT - Common admission process. That's it.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Good post graduate program with strong cirriculum

Remarks:

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!

Perks of cracking IIM, Nagpur

Apart from IIM, Nagpur I applied for NIT Trichy, IIIT Lucknow, SRCC GBO and other IIMs too. I converted IIM Vishakhapatnam, IIM Trichy, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Ranchi, NIT Trichy, IIIT Lucknow, SRCC GBO AIR 14th. I chose IIM, Nagpur over other colleges because the alumni network, faculty and the perk of scholarship. Remaking of Career - IIM Nagpur - 9th Best IIMs out of Best B- Schools in Country

The admission Process at my time was full of options. There was a CAP - Common Admission Process for 11 IIMs which were mostly 2nd Generation and 3rd Generation IIMs apart from IIM Nagpur, IIM Visakhapatnam, and IIM Amritsar. I got a call from every IIM for flagship PGP - MBA apart from IIM A and IIM B. Based on my score of IIM C and IIM K, I got direct admission to IIM Nagpur for the 2018-20 batch. IIM Nagpur, the B-school at the center of India

Eligibility of the course can be done only through CAT which is handled by the IIMs. Once my CAT scores came out, I applied to the college through CAT on the college's website. Once I cleared the cut-offs specified by the college, I received a mail to fill out the SOP and application.
