The placements are so good the average pacakage is 15 LPA and median is 16 LPA the placments of batch of 2025 are still going on and it is doing so good in terms of placments more thna 50% of batch is placed

Perks of cracking IIM, Nagpur

The campus is very beautiful and the amenities we have here is tremendous. The greenery and facilities like gardens, lawns, sports complex, badminton court with all these we can go and feel relaxed. We have yoga room also in which we can meditate.
Faculty is very helping. The way teachers consults us is very nice. Also, we have private consulting sessions with our teachers which can help us to rouge our career.
Diversity, the diversity we have here in academic background, culture gives us a sense of happiness as we celebrate each and every festival here irrespective of the region you belong.

Dislikes

Inclusivity, some you have exclusivity from all groups which demotivates you and you have to stand up again with your own efforts.
The hectic schedule, like sometimes we did not even get the time for sleep. In initial days we got only 2 hours per day to sleep.
The place is away from main city due to which sometimes it become hard to order things or to chill if we want to get our of the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on contemporary topics like digital transformation, AI and sustainability. It balances theory with practical learning through case studies, internships, presentations and preparing them for real-world challenges. Exams are frequent and challenging, testing both conceptual understanding and applications. The curriculum is demanding, requiring effective management.

One of the best experiences of my Life

I absolutely love the interpersonal growth that I have noticed in myself after attending IIM Nagpur. IIM Nagpur provides an altogether new outlook on not just the career but on life as a whole.
I attended the college when it was still running from the temporary campus, it was very comfortable and homely. Now a new campus has come up in MIHAN and it one of the bests in. India.
The course is rigorous and teaches time management to its core. Greta experience!

Dislikes

I was a mid covid batch, attended the 2nd year online, the experience could have been better.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements were provided for all students, 100% of the batch got placed with good placemets. The minimum cap on the package was 10 LPA (even during Covid). The batch got places accross various industries like Consulting, Heathcare, Banking, Education, Retails, etc.

The student background is very diverse. Students with high CAT percentile are there. Students who have previously worked at Big MNCs , Big fours like EY Deloitte etc are there. Freshers are from reputed colleges who have been toppers in their batches

Dislikes

The placement is not not very good considering its an IIM. It's a baby iim so it's understandable. It is improving. Secondly the companies are mostly startups and not big firms.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for freshers and even with ex people who want to switch field. Average placement is around 17 lpa which gives a good ROI. Almost everyone gets placed in both summer placements and final placements.

The campus is very far from the city which makes it difficult to explore the business around the surroundings
The placements were good last year but due to harsh economic conditions this year very few good companies are visiting the campus
Some faculties are visiting it get's hard to meet them in person after class

Placement Experience:

For Summer placements, the placement season starts around October and it is an open season. The average stipend for summer internships stays around 40000, with the highest to be around 150000 and the lowest to be 10000. Various big companies like Microsoft, De Shaw, BNY Mellon visited the campus. College guarantees 100% campus placements. For final placements, the placement season starts around September. The highest package includes 64 lpa, with an average package of 16.74 lpa. Majority of the roles are offered for marketing, finance, operations, HR. My plans after getting the degree is to get placed and work for few years under experts and then start a business of my own.

In the first year, students are given numerous live project opportunities which can be paid or mostly unpaid. The summer internship selection process starts in September. 100% placement is attained for Summer internships. The process ended last year by January. The summer internship is for two months from April to June. PPOs are obtained by some students during summer internships. The Final Placement process begins by September or Term 5. The process is completed by December. 100% placement has been achieved this year. The companies that come are Cognizant, Accenture, ADP, BNY, Yes Bank, ICICI, HDC, Mahindra, etc.

It's important to note that as a fresher, there are some challenges that one may face when studying among a large number of work-experienced students. These challenges could include being perceived as less experienced, having ideas and answers dismissed, or being passed over for leadership roles in group projects. This is why, it's essential to evaluate one's own comfort level, strengths, and weaknesses and decide accordingly. Furthermore, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution and different individuals may have different reasons to prefer one institute over the other.
