The college follows the Kerala technical University syllabus, the university follows the latest standards but due to it being a new university it faces certain constraints and setbacks. Which the government and university are trying to resolve."The college follows a bi-annual semester system in which a year is divided into two semesters, with two internal based exams each semester. The student is required to secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to be promoted to the next year.

Our college provides summer internships for aspiring students as well as computer courses. Moreover, guest teaching facilities are also available. So an aspiring engineering teacher is able to find work if he skilled enough."The college has campus placement options from all the leading tech companies of South India. The campus recorded up to 40% placement last year with all the placements being from leading tech companies. The placements are mostly concentrated on computer science, electronics."

The college has an energetic campus atmosphere with most activities being concentrated within the even semesters. The campus boasts of an extravagant tech fest (RITu) which is one of the largest and most awaited in the state. It also conducts various sporting tournaments which are all carefully planned and conducted by the students themselves.

The fee structure is highly discounted, and more than half of the expenses are met by the government. Thus any person from a normal economic background can avail the facilities of a modern college for as low as 10,000 rupees a year.

The college has excellent well-equipped labs for all the core branches of engineering as well as new and modern physics as well as a chemistry lab. The library is modern and constructed to fit in with the college ambiance and is an ideal place for all book lovers.

The admission was based on merit list which was published based on the marks secured in Kerala engineering entrance exams. The students were given ranks and based on their ranks they were allotted colleges and they were free to choose between them. Then the student had to present their admission documents to management after which they were allotted admission
