- I've got some good friends in my college who made the college ambience good
- There a lot of outing area near college like cc2 eco park nico park so you can bunk college with friends whenever you want. And there is no restriction in college campus you can go out or go inside whenever you want
Dislikes
- The way the teacher teaches is too poor, they don't even give proper guidelines to the student
- The college doesn't have a proper infrastruction and there is no campus it's just 3 buildings and a small common area
- The college fees literally increased and its too high for a college in west bengal..it takes 6L for 4 years and when we applied for scholarships they don't even take proper steps to ensure if we have got that withing time or not..
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculam is well structured, we get to learn a lot of things, in first year our college repeats the 11th and 12th syllabus but much more in a practical way they focuses more on labs and practicals more than theory. But to my point of veiw by teaching what we already know is just a waste of time.
Placement Experience
Only final year students who have completed their 7th sem are eligible to participate in the recruitment process. The placement statistics for my stream in 2024 is disheartening, with only 30% of student securing placements. Across all streams, the overall placement rate stands at 40%. In the event of not securing a job, students may consider pursuing higher studies by appearing for the GATE examination or exploring off campus placement opprtunities, although the likehood of securing a position through this route is minimal. Notably, companies such as Cognizant, Infosys, and PWC have visited, albeit hiring only a select few students
Fees and Financial Aid
Our tuition fees increased recently and a hike of huge amount went up...Our tuition fees used to be 30k/sem but now it's 70k/sem which is more than double. you can apply for SVMCM or any kind of scholarship but it's all on you you have to take responsibility and do things because the administration is too lazy to look after your situation.
Campus Life
My college do have a well wquipped library and also do have a digital library. The college organises different tech fest, hackathons, coding competitions, quiz competitions which you can participate in for your development or for fun. We have a annual tech fest which is very interesting and students from outside the college can also participate
Admission
The admission process was simple as I got admitted through my WBJEE rank. First you ge a rank then apply for the counselling , you get a alloted college, you go to that college to take admission . My college admission takes place in two parts first day you have to go the office in park street and take the admission form and complete all formalities and then a date is alloted to you when you go and pay the fees.
Faculty
Some of the faculty members in general are very good, polite and well spoken and will help you in needs but the rest are very arrogant. The way the teacher teaches is very poor so if you really get admitted into this college you have to complete your own syllabus so if you really think the teacher will teach you well no it's not. Even some of the teachers that holds Phd doesn't know how to teach properly. Our Institute has good teachers mostly all of them holds Phd . The interaction between teachers and student is very rare...so think twice before getting admitted into this college
