NIT Raipur review

Infrastructure needs to be improved in our college.

Because it is in my hometown and there is a lot of scope for development in Raipur so it creates more job opportunities to start your own business. Since Raipur is the capital of Chhattisgarh so more focus is there to make Raipur a metro city and it creates a lot of job opportunities also.

The course curriculum is good in respect to the research prospect but in an industrial point of view several changes need to adhere in the course and site visits and industrial needs to be included in the course curriculum and focus should be there to provide practical knowledge.

College does not provide internships but there is a position available for the research assistant and stipend provided for that is around 10k to 20k

Placements in our college are great. Details are not provided by the university yet. Around 80% of placements are achieved every year. Companies like l&t, Godrej, akriti, Accenture used to come in the campus for the placements and they used to give package in between 5lacs to 10 lacs

Aavartan which is the cultural fest of our college happens in October and Samar which is sports fest happen in November and Eclectika which is a technical fest of our college happens at mid of February or at the starting of March. all the fest are very good.

The fee structure is feasible when compared to other private colleges which charges a hefty fee of around 1.5 to 2 lacs and fees of our college is 76500 rs and 38500 rs per semester. Even in IITs fees is around 1.5 lacs per year which are quite high as compared to our college

Few scholarships which I know is merit cum means scholarship which is for minorities students and several central schemes are also there.

Campus life is good, the surroundings around the college are good and the gender ratio is very poor. Extracurricular activities, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc are also good in the college. Several fests are also organized in the college.

Though I have not opted hostel facilities and is currently living outside the college i have heard from my friends is that food is very poor and the hostel is also not that good. But one thing good about the hostel is that fees are very less its around 35k.

Seniors are very interactive and helpful and usually, there is a good relationship between seniors and juniors in our college.

Exam structure consists of three exams in a year. Two Class Tests are there and one-semester end exam happens in one semester. Exam pattern is moderate and some questions repeat every year. In both odd and even semester Exam structure is the same and lab exams happen in semester end exams only.

i got admission through CCMT counselling and selection is purely based on GATE exam. Firstly you have to give gate exam and based on marks scored in exam you are allowed to choose college and if seats are vacant in that college you are alloted that seat through CCMT counselling.

All the faculty is Ph.D. scholars. Many are from the North. Teachers behave in a very respectable and friendly manner, and we found it very helpful. They explain in a very good manner so that the students can catch the topic in a very short time and remember it. Every faculty suggests us to enjoy college life along with studies.
