Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum structure and professors are of great experience and high education. Classes are actually interactive and students are introduced with new technologies through labs and projects. Semester exams are competitive and need great preperation to pass but that inturn reflects in the performance of the students in future .

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 100008 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for All India quota is 54000 per sem and for state merit is 27000 . There are less fee for many reserved category seats and scholarships.there are reserved seats for NRI students too. Required rank for opting EC is around 2000 . I've been into many clubs in campuses and that could also modify our approach to people and problems in life . There are personalised loans for students in campus too

Campus Life

Technical fest named DHISHNA takes place in the campus every year and it is one of the great programs in Kerala with great exhibition of newest technology innovation from students and also show of power. Different types of sports and extra curriculum fests happens every year . Library is approachable to every students and veriety of books are available for the students . Various clubs and associations are taking place in the campus .

Admission

Applying for CUSAT CAT examination is the first step . It can be applied through cusat website. Subjects are 12th physics chemistry and maths. Examination is for 3 he and is not much tough .I don't feel any need for change in the admission processes

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
