Cusat Campus life,the opportunity to know many cultures.
Campus infrastructure.campus itself is really beautiful.
Club activities and support provided by them.

Dislikes

Too much party problems . Cusat has many political parties.
Sports facilities are not too good.it could be better.
Lack of auditoriums for conducting programs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Cusat curriculum is comparatively tougher than other Kerala engineering colleges. Cusat provide better understanding to your respective branches from first year itself. Cusat also provide minor courses from 3rd semester onwards.

Internships Opportunities

Cusat provide really good internship opportunitys. For your fourth year there is no need for you to be in college you can do internships instead. Cusat will make you industrie ready before your graduation.

Placement Experience

Cusat offers great opportunitys for students,cusat has a good placement cell. From sixth semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. There is an average of 12 lakh per year placement offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Cusat tution fee is divided considering reservations, for a keralite student through state merit tution fee gets to a sum of 28750 per semester. And for a Indian student through national merit tution fee gets to a sum of 56750 per semester.And for SC/ST it is 250 per sem.

Campus Life

Cusat provides an incredible campus life , mingling with all cultures and all sorts of people from around the globe. Cusat also have a wide verity of clubs and activities. And workshops conducted by clubs helps students evolve. Annual tech fest and arts fest are great attractions.

Admission

Overall addmission process was smooth and easy. minimum cut off for passing cat exam is 15% for general candidates and 7.5 for sc/st candidates. Exam will be conducted once per year. Exam for engeneering entrance contains 3 hour test on maths,physics and chemistry.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
