- Good campus life.Due to the large number of students and amazing college fests you can have a nice college life.
- Great placements.The placements in main branches like cs/it/ece fire and safety are good.
- Decent infrastructure.The classroom facilities are comparitively good.
Dislikes
- Involvment of political partiesin in the campus.Strikes are common in cusat.
- Teaching is just average or above average
- Announcement of exams at a short notice.Exams are sometimes announced before a week or so.
Course Curriculum Overview
As compared to all other course curriculums in kerala(KTU),Cusat curriculum is more relevant and in-depth.All the courses are NBA accredited and it therefore shows the value of the course certificate from cusat.Also the courses come under tier-1 category which helps more in the placements part.Cusat is the only university with tier-1 accreditation after NIT Calicut.Syllabus may be a bit tough compared to ktu,but has got more value than ktu degree.The semester exams can be passed if the student has got a decent marks in the internals which includes the marks obtained for the two internal exams,assignments and attendance.The difficultly of the paper can be said moderate since only very few questions come under hard category.A student who knows the track of pyqs can easily pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of internship opportunities which are provided by cusat.From the mous in japan,internships are provided and also along with stipends.The internship helps in building our resumes and also helps in building experiences.The projects given by the colleges are also good.
Placement Experience
The placements in cusat are relatively good.The highest package had been 32lpa.For students of safety and fire,navel architecture etc the average placement itself is 12lpa.Some good companies do visit the college.For cs/it/ec there are good placements too.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are two merits provided-All India merit and state merit.I got under all-india merit.For state merit,the fees is even lesser.Scholarships are also provided for students.My tution fee comes around 4L for the whole course (due to all-india merit).For state merit,it is even lesser.
Campus Life
Cusat provides amazing campus life.Since cusat is a university,there are lot of departments and hence there are enormous number of students who do undergraduate ,postgraduate and research programmes.This helps students to interact with a lot of people during the fests conducted in the university.Campus management is also not too strict as compared to the private colleges.There are also student clubs of various interests
Admission
The eligibility of the course is the student should be 12th pass in PCM stream.The application form is given in the cusat official website.The exam was not as tough as jee mains or even state entrance tests.Cusat CAT is comparitively more easier than the rest.The application fees was also very reasonable.For my branch,Btech in information technology the cutoff was around 1200.
