I really liked the ambience in my collage and the perks of being a cusatian .
The labs and classes are really great and there is huge place all around the campus
There are several affordable canteens available for students thereby we can spend less on our daily means

Dislikes

Even though the collage is great but there are many clashes happening between the political parties here .

Course Curriculum Overview

Basically I've chosen the Btech Electronics and communication course due the present increment in the department of solenoid engineering etc. And I've also got suggestions from seniors too. The curriculum is well checked and is intact with the atpresent technologies and it is definitely going to help the students for their future . Teaching methods and professors and highly educated and are of high quality knowledge.

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 1000008 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So basically the fee structure and also devided into categories. All India quota fee is 54000 per sem State merit quota fee is 27000 per sem There are other privileges for students under OEC and other categories too.

Campus Life

The ambience and environment through out the campus life is amazing for sure. There are technical fest which happens every year named DHISHNA which is an astonishing program with music night and other technologically great projects in display . Last year my department seniors had been qualified into the world good of Guinness recod for the 100k feet project .there are sports and other extra curricular fests that happens every year.

Admission

First step is to attend Cusat CAT examination which can be applied through the Cusat website .The subjects for the examination is physics chemistry and mathematics. Topics are from basic 11th and 12th CBSE textbooks. Minimum required rank for clearing and applying for Btech Electronics and communication is 2000 and around . There are other reserved seats and quota seats which are available for students eligible . Examination is for 3 hrs and in my perspective I didn't face much difficulty in the examination comparing to JEE which I've been trying to Crack for a year. And I don't feel any improvement required in the area for admission processes .

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
