What Students Say

Likes

Library along with computer labs were very well equipped with all the facilities.
Infrastructure is very decent in comparison to many other delhi university college.
Placement cell is very supportive and number of companies they have manage to bring to the table is great.

Dislikes

Classrooms are not very clean with desks being of very low quality.
Teachers are not very skilled or knowledgeable in their subjects.
Couse in itself offers limited opportunities in any specialization.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty decent as it allows an individual to learn multiple subjects like Computer Science, physics and maths. Going forward in career, one can always complete masters in any of three subjects.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 14600 per year

Placement Experience

College has a dedicated placements cell of it own. MNCs like Natwest, DE shaw, EY and many others have hired from the college. I too was selected as a Personal banker with Natwest and was offered a package of 3.25 lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very affordable as it ranges around 15000 for 1 year. This includes all the lab charges of physics as well as computer lab. There is a National scholarship scheme which a student can apply for.

Campus Life

There are quite a number of societies from computer science to literature. Different societies organize college fest every year. The library and computer labs are very well maintained and there is a special focus on sports like football, basketball and archery.

Admission

Admission process is very simple as it was completely based on 12 class marks in 2019. I had filled out an application form and then waited for cutoff lists to be published and then reported to the college and submitted my documents.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. I applied for this college in first round of csas and freezed i didn't for any other college .The exam required for admission is CUET. my course is BSc physical science with chemistry and to be eligible for this course you need to have pcm in class 10+2.In cuet you need to give paper of pcm and a language is compulsory . Call of the Unbiased

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus. In some other aspects, like student engagement, fests and events, campus size, fame, DSC might be behind some South and North Campus colleges, but it's still arguably the best in off campus, and even some south ones too, as a science student, my personal preference except North Campus was Venky > ARSD > DSC > Rest of the south and off campus....Read More
