Life at IISER

Eligibility criteria is to pass an examination known as IISER Aptitude test and around 50k students all over india appear for this examination and 2 to 3000 get selected for 7 IISERs over India. Reservation benefits are available. Application form can be found on tbe official website of IAT or IISER Aptitude Test. The difficulty level is moderate. Its not too difficult neither too easy. Application dates are around may and the exam generally is held in the month of june and the college application starts around august

The course curriculum is really amazing and perfectly suited for me. It offers courses inclined towards research and professors teach the courses in a way to provide maximum benefits and give rise to a researcher mindset in the minds of young students. The institute offers majors in five different subjects namely physical sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, mathematics and earth and environmental sciences

Mostly internships are available under the professors in the topics the professors hold their research in. I myself have taken a physics internship for the upcoming summer semester under my physics professor

Majorly, the plans of many students after cometing this degree is to go for Ph.D in foreign colleges or .aybe corges in India only or maybe just in IISER only and placement opportunities are rather low

Scholarship like DSP and INSPIRE scholarships are avilable and you can avail them if you have a good score in 12th boards. And yes they do offer financial assistance as well Campus employment opportunities are rather low as this institute majorly focuses on research areas and u can only survive if you are legitimate passionate about the subjects you are going to major in and contribute to the sciences

Campus life is also amaziny, social aspects are also really good The clubs are always interacting and hosting many events like games, dj nights, treasure hunta and all And college fests , cultural evenings and so on

Hostel facility is also good in the price they are offering. The hostels are co-ed so basically both boys and girls live in tbe same hostel Yes obviously they have separate wings but you can cross the wings , there is nk restriction on that. And regarding the safety of people, there is a committee called ICC which takes care if any wrong thing happens
