The college is good for those students who are already good in their subjects. But not for them who are poor.

First of all, it is a government college with an excellent historical background as well as pretty good placement records. And it was the only govt. college where I was getting B. Tech in Computer Science in online counseling. Along with it would be providing me with a degree of B. Tech in Computer Science from a Govt college.

The course curriculum in which I am in is pretty impressive and it helps quite a lot to grow as a sound engineer. But I think the curriculum should give more emphasis on competitive programming and upcoming technologies like Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Blockchain Technologies, Artificial Intelligence.

No, our college does not provide any kind of internship. As there is no M.Tech in our college the facility of providing internship is not available yet.

For Textile department its a record of 100% placement every year. For Computer Science Department most of the companies are conducting pool campus drives in the college of Kolkata region. We only get the chance to attend those pool campus drives. No on-campus drives are happening right now.

As you can see its a govt college the expenses paid towards college are pretty low. Only 12400 per year is the tuition fee paid towards the college. There are no more expenses needed to the college in case of academics. And the fee mentioned above is to be paid during two semesters.

There are some scholarships given to the students who are eligible enough to meet the criteria given by the college.

The gender ratio is inferior in our college. It's 9:1(M:F) approx. The students of our college are more focused on cultural activities. There is a room allocated permanently for the cultural stuff in the college premises where anytime during the day students can come and do whatever they wanna do. Labs are well furnished and well equipped as well. Sports is the weak point of our college. Our college does not do well in the state or district level games. Competitions like robotics don't happen too much but the debate is a regular thing in college.

The hostel facilities provided by the college are immensely appreciable. The hostellers call it 'The Heaven'. The facilities in the hostel are remarkable regarding food, lodging, gym, playgrounds, wifi, electricity etc. The area is pretty huge and well maintained.

The exam structure for the college is pretty good and impressive. The exam halls are very well equipped as well as exam labs. The two exam halls are enormous with a sitting capacity of over 500 students at a time. The labs are fully air-conditioned and well equipped with systems.

First of all, I appeared in WBJEE and secured a General Merit Rank of 7987. Then I appeared for the online counseling process and filled up my preferable choices. Then in the 2nd round of counseling, I got this college with my preferred subject. And then I locked my choice and got admitted into the college.

The faculty here in this college are good enough to teach. But they should take care of the students who are weak in programming and stuff. They must not be emphasizing on their interests and look after the students with more extra care. Some extra classes should be taken and some classes should be arranged for the overall development of the students by the teachers.
