Course Curriculum Overview

Information technology is not core department but also it is an interesting course..in this course you will learn about coding, algorithms, development, hardware etc which are mostly efficient in this generation. you can easily crack any competitive exam like CAT, or GATE. this course provides you with what we actually companies needed form you ..so if interested in it sectors then this course is best for you...it's subject exam isn't very difficult if learn the practicals very well..

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I give 45,100 per sem but in this year (2024),college increases course fees 60,000..after many year,..also..this time ,the size of class room is increases ( 60->120)...college allowed and provide every possible scholarship...like- SVMCM scholarship ,osis scholarship and you can take advantage of student credit card or student loan ..here. campus is good not to big and all staff are well behaving with everyone

Campus Life

Every year ..our college technical fest ..TECHSTROM happen inmarch and our culture fest is known as ELIXER.. a good library is present there you can find various types of technical books and journals are there. College faculty are very good ..they deliver very goods lectures and provides every information what we needs..every year cricket ,football ,throw ball (for girls) competition happened in college ...there are GDCS,ACM ,TECH etc clubs are present..

Admission

Admission takes some time. first, you'll appear in the jee or wbjee entrance exam. next, you need to score well and secure a good rank (in wbjee it should be near about 10,000). then will appear in counselling to get a choice of colleges based on your wish. then the council give you a college based on your rank ..and hopefully, we will get a choice of college as it happened in 3 rounds.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
