Likes

Lively Campus, there are no curfews to roam around the campus
The faculty is excellent and actually come from well reputed universities
The food provided has a lot of variety and tastes good

Dislikes

The total fees of this university is very high
The location of the college that is in Sonipat makes it very boring

Course Curriculum Overview

It is rated one of the best private law school. Since i did not get in a government law school, I joined this college. The curriculum has several open book semester examinations which can be cracked only with practical knowledge and not by memorising so it does prepare me well for the real world. The exams are moderate and are held once in a semester for 50 marks. The rest 50 marks is internals.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since, I am still in my first year I do not know about the hikes in fees.The total cost was 9.75 lakhs for the first year. Scholarship is provided to people who got more than 80 percentile and have a family income less than 30 lakhs per annum. I have not been awarded any stipened but in your 4th you can get a stipened if you get the role of teacher's assistant.

Campus Life

The campus is very lively. Frequent concerts/fests are held. There are many clubs and societies like Moot Court Society, Debate Society. The classrooms are equopped with ACs and projectors and comfortable seats.

Hostel Facilities

It is better than 90% of the college hostels in India so is its fees. Meal quality is good. The college provides the hostel and the college has a policy of compulsory residential. Although its not very affordable as the fees is 1.46 lakhs for each semester.

Hostel Fee: INR 146000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course was to pass 12th grade. The applicantion form can be found on the OPJGU website. The college application fee is 1000 and LSAT exam fees is 4000. This exam is held twice in a year. It is fairly easy to crack this exam as the cutoff for JGLS is 60 percentile. Admission process is very smooth.

Placement Experience:

For BBA.LLB course no batch has yet graduated, and the first batch to graduate is in their last academic year. We are expecting placements to start early this year, and after the graduation of our final batch, we will get a fair idea about the packages to be offered. Although IIM already has well-established placement records for other courses, it is expected to be the same for the law course

A comprehensive brief of IIM Rohtak IPL Programme

Placement Experience:

i think the students become eligible for placements from the 13th term. our first batch hasn't graduated yet. they are due to graduate in 2026. but certain law firms which have visited our college and have offered internships to our students are Khaitan & Co., Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw. Honestly, I have not decided yet what career i would want to pursue but yes, having a campus placement in hand definitely gives a sense of security. I may pursue an LLM after this or may enter into litigation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum well built as per guidelines of Bar Council. Prepares us for the needs of the future as well as for current exams. Frequency of exams is four exams an year. The difficulty level of exams is average to difficult.

Glimpses of DBRA

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculam is very nice for the law subjects but for the BA subjects it can be very tiring at times. Like same concepts are repeated again and again in various subjects. E.g- Often what taught in Pol Science is same to what is taught in History, so it can be repetattive on some occasions.

Yes the placements are offered in the college since right now only one batch is passed out much can't be said but the students got placed in tier 1 law firms with 8lpa and more packages making it a good placement drive in itself.

Life of a law student at MDU(Rohtak)

My dream is to become a great advocate, so I chose this course and the management of my law department in mdu is quite impressive. Teachers are good and humble and they make us to understand law better . Our department also organise moot court competitions as well in this course in order to built skills in students . So course is overall good Improvement : sometimes lack of teachers and staff causes problems to students and affects their studies. As our university was recently made, so there is less probability of getting placed in any law firm. But one can go for litigation, judiciary, corporate, JAG, etc. as the course has provided the practical knowledge also which will be helpful in these fields.
