A complete review

The course is of trimester nature and there will be two exams per semester. The curriculum is well designed for law students, giving an overall gist of all the subjects from the BBA background to the start of the legal subjects. The curriculum is specially designed to give a real-world experience of both management subjects and law-related subjects. The course is well balanced between both internship periods at the end of every semester, are gives students to get practical experience in the world of whatever has been taught so far

Internship opportunities are suggested by the college and seniors. According to the requirement of the years internship period you are supposed to intern and give a back report of your internship experience. This opens an practical exposure given to students from a very young age.

For BBA.LLB course no batch has yet graduated, and the first batch to graduate is in their last academic year. We are expecting placements to start early this year, and after the graduation of our final batch, we will get a fair idea about the packages to be offered. Although IIM already has well-established placement records for other courses, it is expected to be the same for the law course

The year-wise fees you pay are around 7 to 8 lakhs, which includes hostel and mess charges, which is 83000, and tuition fee is around 7 lakhs. The total fees for 5 years is around 40 lakhs in total. The registration is done through clat scores or IPMAT scores and then selected candidates are called for the personal interview. Reservations according to the government are provided by the college. Scholarships are provided within the college academic year according to the merit in the pervious academic year to the top 5 students of the batch.

The overall experience of campus life is good. The infrastructure facilities provided, like the library, gym, and indoor or outdoor sports rooms, give space to students apart from academics. There are cultural and sports clubs that organise events for students during festivals and fests. Sports events are organized between batches and other extracurricular activities are also offered during the academic year.

The mess menu is predecided for a whole season, the food provided is clean and safe to eat and drink, and as per norms. The mess is open for 4 meals a day at particular timings. The hostel and mess fees are affordable and true to the value of money.

As a person who got admission in SLS Noida, Christ, KIIT, and IIM, I chose IIM as it is a government college that already has a well-established alumni for management and gives a stronger network base for a person who is more inclined towards a corporate law setup. For admission, you can either apply through CLAT scores or IPMAT scores, followed by a personal interview process and final selection would be based on them.

The faculty are graduates from top-notch universities and are very approachable during working hours for academic doubts and queries. The faculty-student relationships are mature and professional. The law professors give not only the bookish experience to the students but also prepare them for the corporate world. There are strict hostel timings same for both girls and boys, that are to be followed. Students can access the canteen, gym, library, and public area within the campus during allowed timings. There are amphitheaters on the campus which are the common gathering spots for the students to hang out and explore.
