Course Curriculum Overview

Each year is divided into 3 trimesters with each trimester consisting of atleast 5-6 courses. Each course has 20 classes which is mandatory to be taken. The curriculum is rigorous and one can be left only with 5-6 hours of sleeping time during the entire program of two years

Internships Opportunities

Internships start from June every year and companies from varied sectors start vsiting. Most of the internships are paid and has to be joined in April- May next year. Internships are mandatory part of coursework

Placement Experience

Placements are better than average business school in India. Average salaries can start from 14 lacs per annum to as high as 40 lacs per annum. Campus placements are rolling and can offer a lot of roles

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Tuition fee is typically high and is increasing every year. Back in 2020 it was 13.5 lacs for the entire two year course excl hostels and has now gone u by 7-8 lacs as of 2023. There are scholarships or aids available through central and state governement programs for SC ST & OBC candidates

Campus Life

Campus life has a lot of flavour and totally depends upon what one wants from his or her campus life. There are a lot of clubs and committees for freshers as well as experienced students to participate in .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility differs from year to year. First year students are mostly given shared room with bunk beds while second year students are provided single accommodation with Air conditioning and mess facilities

Hostel Fee: INR 200000 per year

Admission

Admission for the course involves taking up CAT examination followed by GD PI and WAT depending on the shortlist. The interviews can be very tough and the panel usually consists of ex- students or current faculty members

Faculty

1. The faculty can be both permanent and temporary and a lot of lectures or courses are sometimes taken up by Guest Lecturers from other IIMs 2. The faculty is usually having the credentials of all the premium colleges of India and abroad

Interview Experience

The entire process of getting in any IIM consists of a written test called CAT (Common Aptitude Test) which is conducted once every year in the mmonth of November. This is followed up with WAT and GD-PI rounds

Placement Experience:

The placements provided by the department are of only marketing All the students of finance, hr and marketing are provided with the marketing job. Every year ICICI comes for the mass recruitment and takes up thw students. The package provided are of around 4-5 lakhs. All most 70% of the students gets placements and rest are left with no placements.

Campus placements are good, they leave no company unturned to do the interviews. We usually get summer internship and before that there are lot of interviews going. In case of campus placements they are eligible only in the last semester

Exams are taken twice a semester for the betterment and improvement of students in final exams. I was told by the faculty that they try their best. To make it easy for students to understand. Which was really nice and more than expected.

You will get placement only after completing your course. There are several companies like Garda Chemicals, crystal crop protection, bayer, PI industries. They have placed average of 3-4 students. Highesht package was of one student about 8 lakh per annum in LDC company. Only 30%student got placed. You have to search at your own the companies.

From 2nd so onwards the placements starts, but only after 3rd semester you can join in any company. The highest package offered was 12 lakhs. Almost 70% of the students get placed. As most of the companies come fro. Sales amd marketing background. For HR and finance the opportunities are limited.

Remarks:

During the sixth trimester of the Programme, each participant is required to undertake a research project. the college emphasis on the trainning of the student on a practical ground too. A research problem of contemporary relevance (theoretical / action oriented) is identified by the participants in consultation with NIFM faculty and / or senior level officers of their respective Department / organization. However, the final decision on the project work is taken by NIFM. The timing and duration of the project work is 16 weeks as per the curriculum. NIFM faculty guides the participants in research, analysis, preparation and completion of the project. The participants are expected to remain in regular touch with their faculty guides for timely completion of the project work. The project work is required to be completed and submitted before completion of the programme.

This is one of the best IIM among newer IIM. Placement and teaching style were the others factors. As all faculties are kind experts in their field and most of the faculties know about the industry so, they really know what to teach and how to teach the students who are going to be the part of corporate culture in next 2 years. The facilities like guest lectures by leading leaders of the world, library through which we can get 10000s of books on different online platforms like Pearson, quicklrn, Adobe digital platform and many more provided by the IIMs are some of the greatest factors. The most important and the most attractive feature is undoubtedly the brand name of an IIM. Before joining the college I was most influenced by what impact an IIM Degree would have on my CV and Career in the long run. However, after joining the course I understood that apart from a brand name this institute has a quality that is unmatched by any other in the same field. The teachers are highly professional and deliver some amazing lectures that can make your mind open and understand things so easily. The guest lectures are awesome as well.
