What Students Say
Likes
- Great Curriculum- The curriculum at IIM Rohtak is designed to provide a robust framework for the students. As a law student there, the integration of management and law and the well designed curriculum provides great insight about both the fields.
- Great Faculty- The professors are distinguished and approachable with significant industry experience and exemplary teaching methods.
- Infrastructure- The campus is well equipped with modern day facilities like Wi-Fi and online library resources. Dedicated spaces are made for recreation as well as group studies.
Dislikes
- The college focuses more on studies than extracurricular activities. They doesnt take part in inter IIM competitions and there are no proper arrangements of extracurricular competitions in the campus
- Improper utilization of land- The campus is spread around 200 acres and only a part of it is functional. They should build more buildings with better facilities to make the campus better and more worth the money.
- Strict rules around the campus are also a bummer. It discourages us to do any work for the college as it is hard to get permission from them for organizing any event.
Course Curriculum Overview
In my course, the curriculum is designed to meet the demands of the contemporary legal and business environment, ensuring that students gain skills and knowledge directly applicable to real world scenarios
Placement Experience
IIM Rohtak offers good campus placements with a diverse range of opportunities across various sectors. Students are eligible in their last year. Highest package this year was around 35 lakh and the average was around 18 lakh rupees. The placement record says that 100% of the batch was placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total tution fees is around 6,00,000 per year including a trimester system. The fees can vary by a bit every year and depends on course to course. Other charges include hostel and mess fees which is 75,000 per year and a one time security deposit of 10,000 rupees. I am a first year and I haven't undertaken any campus employment.
Campus Life
There are several fest including the annual fest of Naqsh which is held in January. The campus hosts numerous cultural and social events and it varies across course to course. Good facilities are provided for students interested in sports. Classrooms are equipped with ACs and projectors. Library offers good books and journals.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are not so spacious but are equipped with ACs and wi-fi. The mess food quality is average and the menu changes 3-4 times every year. Hostel is affordable and most of the people live in the hostels. Hostels are necessary for most courses as they are residential programs
Admission
People are eligible after completing 12th grade from any board with 60% or above marks. They can apply from any stream. Exam of IPMAT is undertaken every year for the admissions and the form is found online on the college's website. The form fees is around 4500 rupees which can vary every year. The difficulty level is hard of the written exam as well as the interview process
Faculty
Faculty members are approachable and supportive. They are open to communicate and are friendly with students, making it easy to interact with them. Regular doubt sessions and one-on-one mentorship opportunities help students grasp complex concepts. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:50. The college also employs visiting faculty to teach certain courses they are specialized in for us to get a better insight about the particular course. Many faculty members have significant professional experience in the legal and corporate sectors, providing valuable insights into the practical applications of law and management. Guest lectures and workshops by industry experts and alumni further enrich the learning experience. Many faculty members have earned doctoral degrees(PhDs) and have extensive research backgrounds in their respective fields.
