Remarks
The college is excellent. The college is only 11 year old. According to me it will take more time to enter elite college list. IIM Rohtak has NIRF ranking of 23, which is far better than older established colleges. This is a positive sign and I am sure college will grow in leaps and bounds in coming years.
Course Curriculum Overview
The schedule is here too hectic. As IIMs are known for their culture here also the culture is great as it helps in peer to peer learning. There is an abundant focus in research as we have a designated lab known as Council for Strategic Research, which conducts all suitable research. This designated lab is central government funded. Our college also organised 7th PAN-IIM World Management Conference which was attended by people from all over the world and 1400 research papers were presented and selected research papers were given for publication in reputed journals. The course structure is pragmatic and industrially relevant. The curriculum provides the skills which are currently in demand. We have classes on Programming, Data Science.
Placement Experience
Yes, placement and internship provided by college. every year 50-70 companies visit to IIT ROORKEE for placement and internship. Around 50-60 % students got placement and internship through college. 90% students got placed from electrical.
College Events
PAN-IIM World Management Conference- Research Oriented Toastmasters International Competition Infusion- Annual Cultural Fest TEDx Talks Entrepreneurial Talks The Infusion is the biggest event and it is visited by colleges all over India. International Bands and singers also come and perform.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive, MBA-15 LAKHS. BBA+MBA- 28 LAKHS. The fees is costlier. The students coming from weak financial background find it difficult. The loan facilities are available but it creates a burden on students as the interest rates are high. The scholarship is provided by college to the students based on the income group from which they come.
Fees and Financial Aid
Need Bases Financial Assistance- To students who have family income less than 2,00,000 and come from SC/ST category. They are provided 100% scholarship. you have availed state scholarship. The name of scholarship is Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojna.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is 1:1. The gender as well as geographical diversity is there. The students are more from Hindu religion as compared to Muslim religion. The economic status of students is above average.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel are of world class facilities. They are fully air conditioned, required furniture, 24×7 water facilities and safety. The average rental in 40, 000 which is quite feasible as compared to other places.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are helpful in every way as i mentioned earlier College doesn't have that much good record in giving campus placement to the students so alumni help through that. And the alumni network is quite good.
Admission
The name of the course in which I am admitted is Integrated Programme in Management. This course is basically a dual degree programme which comprises of BBA & MBA. Currently, I am a first year student in this course. The reason that made me choose this course is that it helps to create a strong foundation for a future manager. The course involves various interesting subjects such as Data Analytics, Economics, Accounting, Programming, Calculus, Humanities, Foreign Languages. These above mentioned details makes it most unique course after class 12th which helps in making students socially conscious managers.
Faculty
The faculty of college is great. Not all the faculty is great. Some are not so good. But our college has also a system of visiting faculties. In this system faculty from all over the world visit our campus and give us valuable knowledge. Recently we had professor Kevin Moore for a lecture in management in sports industry.
