A complete overview of IIM Rohtak

The course is designed in way which included not only management aspects but also some courses from btech and here the faculties also mentioned that this coursed is designed in a way looking into the curriculum of IIT's because it have Law IT Programming psychology sociology everything. And the course structure is very practical for example like in one of our course Language skills in English we got an assignment to Think of an startup idea design a logo for that develop a website and shoot a promotional video for it.

My plan is to getting placed at first to gain some industry experience and launching my own startup after that.

For ther first year we have submitted 7 lakhs till now and total fees is of around 40 lakhs and the in 7 lakhs there is all like hostels tution fees mess fees books and everything. There is one scholarship which i know is given to top 5 performers pf every batch which is 1 Lakhs per year. And there is Need based financial assistance provide by college for which the students have to justify some criteria given by colleges.

The main annual fest of IIM rohtak if Infusion which held every year from January and there are many small events also takes place between them In which all the colleges from Delhi NCR regions participate like in outdoor games, indoor games, esports, dance, music etc. Talking about the books and journals IIM rohtak invest a huge amount for the subscription of these journals and they are accessible to each and every student here. There is also provision of e-books and physical books in the library. Classroom's is equiped with projector desktop mic cameras and everything sort of things which is required but the problem is that the classrooms are not good as much as PGP's classroom. There are many small fest alos takes place on different festivals like christmas, pongal, diwali, janmashtami, etc. There are various clubs to for the students to participate but as I mentioned due to the misbehaviour from our seniors they are dissolved by the students council.

In rooms we have one split ac, two bunk beds for four people, four table four chairs and four almiras. And in terms of connectivity we have 4 Lan ports, one for each student and separate wifi router for each rooms, there is one badminton court in each and every hostel and we used to play their all kinds of sports. Three fully automatic washing machines are provided in the hostel to wash our cloths and two coolers too. The cost of the hostel is included in the fees which we paid so we didn't know the exact amount of hostel fees.

I have applied for all the IIMs that are offering IPM course and along with that some provate colleges too like Tapmi and Nirma.I got offer from NFSU, Tapmi, Nirma, Iim Ranchi but all over from that I choose IIM rohtak because its Nirf ranking its placements and campus area. I didn't get into iim indore because I messed up in my interview and The selection process includes class 10 and 12 scores IPMAT indore and rohtak scores and Interviews and every college have different criteria.

There is currently no data available for students and faculties ratio because there is no data of hiw many students are here butbthe counting of faculties is 109 in which 35 are permanent faculties and all remainingare permanent. Currently I am in my term 2 and my favourite professor is EL Mehendi EL Madani who teaches us Language Skills in English. There is no such faculties whom we don't like because here each and every faculties are great and have incredible experience in their field. Faculties generally gave thier mail to contact them for any doubt and they sometimes also allot time for us in their office. In one year there are 3 terms of 3 months each and each term have 2 exam and in betweens there are quizzes and assignments. So yes it's very hectic.

For the exam I prepared from youtube and I purchased some booklets from one of the coaching to practise the questions and for interview I joined two three batches for preparation and to get more practise. And in my interviews they asked me some general knowledge questions, HR questions and they also asked questions from my class 12 and 10th and they gave me some random topic to speak for about 1.5 minutes. And they asked questions from that too.

There are various small cafes outside near to the campus and in night campus looks amazing literally. But the problem is that we are not allowed to exit the hostel after 8:30 pm its because of the same reason due to senior's misbehaviour and we all are facing the consequences. And inside the campis there is only one Nescafe which is not that good and overpriced. And as we are not allowed to exit our hostels after 8:30 so we didn't know much about night life here.
