They are too strict with the internal marks
hostels are not enough for students in the university.
even though i have a distance of 190km i was not alloted hostels in 2st year.

Course Curriculum Overview

curriculum is updated for the new scheme of 2023-2027.which is diffrent from the scheme i am following (2019). it majorly covers core subjets from first year onwards. Faculty will be helpful to you always. you can get the syllabus from the official site cusat.ac.in

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

From 3rd year onwards students are eligible for campus placement. Highest package since i enrolled might be in the cs dpt for Rs 40,00,000/- LPA. The labraries are updated with gate question banks and guides for preperations.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is around Rs1,00,000/- per year(all india merit) and it is arount Rs 50,000/- per year for state merit students last sem i paid Rs 56,000/- for and an additional Rs 2800 for exam fee/- most of the scholarsjips like are e grantz are only avialble for state merit students.

Campus Life

if you are looking for campus life it is a good place to enroll. As this is a university there are multiple courses with diversity socilaizing eith everyone will really boarden your horizon. There are more than 50+ clubs (not all of them are very active )and open space for students like tinker hub to conduct events and hackathon.

There is an entrance exam arounnd april.(2023 it was hend between april 29th amd may 1st) Eligibility-10th & 12th pass applicaction s and other details are updated in universities official website (search for for cusat.ac.in)

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
