I choose B.des fashion design. The course is good. Teachers help every time we need it. As we are in the first year so practical knowledge is not so much but as we see our seniors they get a lot of practical knowledge. Rest depend on your course.

Internships Opportunities

This college has a summer internship program after 2nd year and regular industry visit sessions. I have not done the internship yet but I go to the garment industry and the experience was amazing.

Placement are excellent in some courses and some courses have average placement.

College Events

Amity has its sport program called Sangathan and amity youth fest also celebrated every year. they happen on the big scale as per the bollywood celebs and singers are coming and the audience is to high. The college helps to celebrate all religion cultural programs like ONAM.

The fee structure is high with respect to the other colleges as the standard of the college is high.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I am residing in the hostel. Amity campus has a total of 7 hostels [ 3 AC & 4 NON-AC]. AC hostels provide single rooms [ with full furnished including t.v. , sofa, fridge, etc] ac hostels are good but cost RS.1,5 lack per year and NON- AC hostel provide two/three sharing rooms [with simple furniture ] nonac is not so good but cost RS. 80,000 per year. Yes, there are many PG and FLATS easily provide near campus.HOSTEL charges not include food, food is paid but there are many canteens in the campus for hostlers which give good food at low cost [ full day open].

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

There is a regular seminar with alumni of respective fields. You can ask a question to them and they also tell you about their struggle. Yes, alumni give confidence and direction to students.

Faculty

Most of the faculty is awesome as they are graduated from the national institutes and some of the foreign faculty. They interact with the students like they are their personal tutor and some of the teachers get loose their temper easily.

I chose this course cuz the curriculum includea almost everything. Nothing could ever prepare someone for real world applications until unless you step out in the real world itself. The rush before the exams. I wish the teachers would manage it better. The first semester was horrible due to this. The end term exams start almost after a month of mid terms which makes the semester end exam quite difficult.

In college, we used to get many facilities which are necessary for a student. In every way, our school manager sir and other teachers used to cooperate very well so that the children do not face any problem. The children liked their style of teaching very much. Placement Experience:

From the third year you're eligible for campus placement. The placement is not that great as of now since asft is pretty new and they're still fetching companies but there are options. The campus placement advisors are pretty great and helpful. And even if you don't find campus placement, there are a lot of openings now for the same since fashion designing has become pretty popular since the last few years

Reality Of Joining NIFT As A Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interested in footwear design and then lifestyle goods so I opted for leather design. 8 teachers: 29 students in the leather department and 1 lab assignment and also taught by industrial designers. Good quality of education with an upgraded method which is very much practical with the trend. in 6 months I.e in 1 semester = midterm(30) + end term (30) + final jury exam (40). It is a continuous evaluation of a project in which one should present everything in the final jury exam.

AMITY UNIVERSITY - GUIDE 101 FOR B.TECH

I applied to SRM chennai and got the admission letter. but i had to choose AMITY because of lack of hostel accommodation in SRM for female students. When i got there they told me they had 0 rooms for so many students. I did not get a rejection, i had to reject SRM because of lack of hospitality for North Indian people at the reception desk. Admission process for Amity is quite moderate, you have to have 70% aggregate in PCM to apply for BTECH, and the students have to go through an interview round to get an admission letter based o nthe interview...Read More
