Footwear Design and Development Institute, Noida, popularly known as FDDI Noida, is a government institute established in 1986 and located in Sector 24, Noida. The institute is granted as an Institute of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017, and recognized by NCVT.
FDDI Noida has been ranked 15th under the Design Category by IIRF in 2025. The institute offers various courses at the UG and PG levels, with B.Des being the flagship course. FDDI Noida Admission 2025

FDDI Noida offers admission to various courses at the UG and PG levels in the fields of Fashion Design, Footwear Design, Product Design, Retail, etc. Admission to all the programs is based on the entrance exam, followed by counseling processes. FDDI Noida Admission to various programs is as follows

For admission to B.Des and BBA, candidates must pass class 12 in any stream from a recognized board, and the age should be less than 25 as eligibility. Admission is mainly through the AIST exam conducted by FDDI, followed by institute counseling. However, the college also accepts CUET UG or UCEED entrance exam scores if the seats remain vacant after the AIST exam and counseling.
For admission to M.Des. and MBA programs, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized institute or university in India. Admission is mainly through the AIST exam, followed by counseling conducted by FDDI; the college also accepts CUET PG or MAT, or any other national-level entrance exam scores, if the seats remain vacant after the AIST exam and counseling.

Events are organized by student, with student contribution and for students
The faculty is average in teaching but wonderful in terms of personality.
A lot of labs to work in and Ac class rooms.

Dislikes

Faculty does not inform things properly.
No intercollege events, or certifications or trips.
The classes are scheduled from 9 30 to 4 30 everyday.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The curriculum builds a strong base for the foundation batch that includes, drawing, CAD softwares, communication skills, material handling etc. And further in the years, the couse is very relevant with topics and areas of study according to the course. Like ui ux design, sustainability etc. The curriculum prepares you well for the real world with projects and assignments for the same. No changes in curriculum or teaching methods. Exam frequency and timing is not bad... The difficultt is moderate.

Various companies recruiting from the campus and highest package being offered

Campus placement is pretty average, students become eligible in the 8th semester. Many renowned companies come for placement like adidas, bata, da milano, mr diy, hidesign, homecentre etc Avg packages vary, as of past 2 years its 8 LPA , highest goes up to 12 to 14 LPA. Placement rate is around 90% After degree i plan to sit in placement and then go for masters.

Fees structure of the course per semester and scholarship

1,40,600 - fees of sem 1 (general category AIR 13 ) Tution fee - 88,000 Library fee - 5000 Student development fee - 8,500 Exam fee - 2000 Mediclaim - 500 Etc.. Sem 2 - 95,000 Sem 3 - 1,10,400 Sem 4 - 95,000 There are no college scholarships but one can opt for government scholarships as it is a govt Institute.

Various sports and infrastructure of the college

We have sports and cultural week every semester. For one week, no classes just events. The library is small but has all the required books. There are good facilities and provisions with akso a digital classroom. Not much sports , but for extracurricular there are clubs and societies like literary Society, fashion society, dance, photography etc.

Faculty and examination pattern of the college

The faculty are good, there are 3 sections in the foundation batch, same faculty for all... The faculty is very friendly ajd qualified, very approachable tho their teaching is pretty avg at areas and very good at others. Exams, we have mid terms, these are 20 mark theory exams then we have end term, this has internal assessment, practical exams, theory exams and then jury . Most Students clear the exam. The curriculum is very apt and fun to study.

Admission process of the college and eligibility criteria

I applied for NID, NIFT, IIT, FDDI, JKLU and CHITKARA I did not clear NID ,NIFT, IIT, as my rank was not good for a general seat. I got AIR 13 in FDDI and admission in JKLU AND CHITKARA. For FDDI, admission can bee done thru uceed or aist. Students prefer both. I chose FDDI as it is nearby and govt clg.

Night Life

Not much night life, campus timing is 9 30 to 7 30 and hostel curfew is 7 30 for girls 9 30 for boys. Library closes at 5 , cafeteria closes at 7 30. Canteen and the boys lawn are famous places to hang! Out inside college Putside clg, there is DLF MALL, LOGIX MALL, GARDEN GALLERIA, GIP etc in proximity.
