UP Institute of Design Facilities

U.P. Institute of design-[UPID], Noida, has maintained a small batch size thus helps to ensure that every student gets accessed by teachers thoroughly and ensures quality education. It has given advanced facilities to its students for their holistic growth and development.

• Conference Room: With 100 seater A.C. conference room and Modern Teleconferencing facilities, this conference room is used for workshops and faculty development programs.
• Library: the library in the institute is fully digitized and a reprographic facility is also available for the ease of students. There are more than 2000 books for all the courses available. Many national and international journals, newspapers are also under subscription.
• Computer Lab (for UG/ PG): This institute has computers with ultra high-performance machines with the latest graphics, simulation software and computer aided design. It is available to the students all the time.
• Workshop: It is a place where the student's imagination is converted into an actual product. The workshop also has metal and woodworking machines. This workshop has lathe machines, pipe bending, finishing machines, milling and drilling.
• Computer Centre: With 100 PCs with the latest configuration and dedicated servers that ensure speedy networking. This has also an attached seminar hall with nearly 50 seating capacity
• Cafeteria: There are a facility of tea, coffee gourmet dishes, which are served to people with approximately 100 seats available in the cafeteria.
• Indoor sports: Indoor sports like carrom board and table tennis are also available for students.
• Wood Workshop: For woodworking, the student can use wooden lathes, router cutters and drilling machines.
• Girl’s and Boy’s common room: this is the area where student come and hang out when they are especially during recess
• CAD (computer aided design): With high-end computers, students use a 25Watts laser engraver for cutting PVC and paper material. This institute also has an FDM machine. With CAD models, any complex shape difficult to machine in steel or aluminium can be prototyped.
• Facade periphery: Being located in national territory and being surrounded by various institutions provides an apt environment for students for their growth and development.
• Innovation Lab: Cathode ray oscilloscope, functional generator, digital millimetre, tachometer are available for experiments as well for projects.PLC boards like arduino are also available for electronics prototyping that helps students in their projects.
