Likes

Teacher behaviour towards students. Campus environment are good as for geographical. Staffs and faculty are good and helpful.

Dislikes

Students placement is not good. There are a lot of placement and internship issues .

Course Curriculum Overview

Choosing the course is all depends on personal choice. Which subject which field you are interested and good. I choose the computer science and engineering course as this course is good for placement. Not all but I believe it is better than others.Faculties are good of all stream . They are helpful.

Class Size: 7Course Fees: INR 320000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is not good. Placement are not provided as for students satisfaction. More students gets placed by own. Not a many companies comes to visit. Internship are also not provided by placement cells.many students give gate exam for higher studies. My plan is to study masters after graduation in iit or any nit after gate exam.if some students get's placement then their packages are around only 2,50000.

Fees and Financial Aid

For diploma courses the fee is 150000 per year and for btek for odd sem it's around 3,50000 and for even it is something less.There are lot of schorship for reserved category like sc,st. For general and OBC there is no any other scholarship for outsiders.

Campus Life

There is two fest organised by cit one is techracy and other is ecstacy. Techracy is for tech fest and ecstacy is for cultural fest. There are a lot of clubs for technical like coding club, cyberxsecure club , gdsc club and a lot. All the clubs are active. There are a more than many game ground.

Hostel Facilities

While taking admission hostel and mess are registered. There are 2hostels for girls and 3for boys . Hostel rooms are not so big it is consist of 3students. Girls hostel has not room cubard. Hostel mess is located in hostel itself . Hostel is not so good only rice are served as a main meal with dal, and some veggies not an extra things are added like snacks, dessert etc. for nonveg we have to pay extra.hostels are having wifi and lans which are often not in used as these are in bad condition.

Hostel Fee: INR 5500 per year

Admission

There is one entrance exam named citkee. And other method is to apply through jee-mains exam.There is different courses for masters in different streams there is gate exam score card. For diploma admission there is exam called citkee

College campus placement review

Likes

This college has very intelligent and polite facilities. They r so nicely teaching that everyone easily understand the topic.
I am not bad student of this college and I give more of this year.
Placement services are provided by our college in multiple places.

Dislikes

This college has so slow work experience and not done any work by time.
Some of the faculties are like they don't have time to hear our problems.

Placement Experience:

For 4th semester to students become eligible for campur placements. Tata, microsoft, godrej,amul,etc, etc. Companies are offering very nice package. They give 10lpa per anum. 70 to 80% of students got placement in our college. I am going work in refinery or ONGC

Likes

It is indeed the most beautiful college campus of country.
Many travel destination nearby college. (Shilong, Tawang, Dzuko, Sikkim etc)

Dislikes

Food is not that good. Mess food is not great , also there are not much outlet in campus (they are still coming)
Academic curriculum is tough in comparison with other IITs.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good . Around 60% students gets placed. More than 250+ companies visits. Many students are preferring DS and Non Tech roles after graduation ( for core branches ) and they are getting good opporutunities in them aswell.

A chapter of growth, my college life

Likes

Since I am in civil dept so the civil dept is the most well maintained and beautiful dept of my college. The faculty members are more or less friendly and good.
Teachers are good and friendly. Specially in civil the seniors are also good and friendly.
In civil dept there are many events which take place as compared to other dept .

Dislikes

Only boys hostel is there but no girls hostel.
In civil dept the placement opportunities are not upto the mark but in other dept specially chemical placement is good even in mechanical too.
Campus can be made more beautiful although work is going on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine

Likes

The exposure to every thing including dance music art
Placement and internship opportunities are good enough
Highly qualified professors from different. IIT and foreign universities

Dislikes

Competitive environment , lot of competition among students
Girls to boys ratio is 1:4 and this is quite less than other colleges
Location is 16 km away from the city because of the big campus

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Likes

Open campus provides real growth among students
Faculty and other staff members are real friendly
For native students our college provides strong sense of belongingness

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very old renovation is very much needed
The health and hygiene around the campus is needed to be improved
Hostel facility is needed to be more better

Placement Experience:

College placement in our college is pretty good .one can appear for placement from 7th semester. Average package in our college is around 4 to 5 lakhs. The maximum package ever to come from Assam Engineering College is 48 lakh

I like the environment of adtu its so good for studying cold weather, no noise and about the classes its good i think the ration of boys and girls is 50/50

Dislikes

Adtu does not provide us enough holidays , not enough college functions and competition

India is a developing country. We need civil engineers for constructions of roads, dams, railway, and many more so we need many innovative youths for that. And i want to make our roads more better . Thats thought encouraged me to choose this course

College focused many cultural and extra curricular activities . Becauseany student able to represent our college in different types of district state national international level program. And good news is that many students are able to carry prizes.
I like BBEC because all the faculty staffs are very friendly and supportive. They tried to give best of the best to each and every student. They also help for project related works.
All the book's are available in central library

Dislikes

There are mainly 3 Buses in the college but bus service are poor
No proper reading room are available here.
Average students got placement in every year.

Placement Experience:

Placement - Average. In this yearanu student placed in different types of psu, Company etc. Like NRL,BCPL, BERGER Paints etc Many students selected for apprenticeship, internship etc many reputed organization Like Power grid,REC,TRTC etc

A journey worth sharing

Remarks:

The college facilitates good infrastructure with spacious libraries, laboratory and playing grounds. It also provides a good faculty with years of experience and degree holders from different universities.

Remarks:

The main negative thing is the college is far away from Guwahati city and the transportation service is not good and the university is also situated on the top of hill , so climbing every day mountain is so painful for legs.

Remarks:

Its a good college. I feel lucky to read on this college. They faculty, the facilities is nice. The environment of the college is very good for education. The management cell of the college is also do grat jobs. But the main problem I have found is placement. According to the other colleges the placement of this college is not so good. If the college can give more placement then it will become a great college. Overall its a great college full of knowledge.

Other colleges I applied were NEHU and Tezpur University.I got IT branch in NEHU and Mechanical in Tezpur and CSE in CIT kokrajhar.I preferred CIT because the CSE branch is what I wanted from the beginning.Even though it's infra level is less than Tezpur University,but I didn't wanted to waste time in other branch rather than CSE .CIT compared to NEHU had better chances for CSE students....Read More

The whole admission process in CITK seemed like my destiny. And of course, I wanted to come here. I had other options but somehow I wished I was here. It was my calling, I guess. And for the thing that I like most about this college is the library. I really love the carpeted floor and the wooden bookshelves. The interior is very captivating, with brown walls and books all around. The place is surprisingly peaceful. Though during exams it gets crowded, other than that it's the best place to visit. The only thing that our library lacks is the literature section. I mean there are plenty of books on literature but not the actual literature. You can count the number of novels in one hand. Opting for civil engineering is something my parents did for me. As we say elders know better, so they suggested that a bright future awaits for me through the doorway of the Civil Engineering Branch. And I gladly followed their advice and I regret nothing, not yet. But I had in my mind to opt for Food Engineering and Technology, but elders know better....Read More
