Library is very big which contain almost every book of the course offered which helps the students alot
Ground and gymnasium helps students to boost their skills and encourage them to participate in extra co curriculum activities
Laboratories are very developed containing different instruments that helps students to do research work

Dislikes

Water availability. Clean water should be their for students.
Professor should be more interactive to thr students
Tour and trips should be provided to students so that they can learn more.

This course Bachelor Of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Horticulture)offers a variety of subjects which offers various scopes and opportunities in future. It teaches us practical knowledge and is very interesting. Professors here are highly educated. However their should be more interaction among teacher and students.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is comparatively high of self financing students as compared to normal seat. On the other hand about scholarships every year top 6 students are provided with scholarship every month with 1000rs.Per Semester it takes 24000 for normal seat and 65000 for self financing seat.

Campus Life

The campus have huge library and fields for practical work. They have good infrastructure and good laboratories for research work. This college also have ground and gymnasium for extra curriculum activities

Admission

The counselling was on the basis of Score of Icar (UG) and self financing seat was on the basis of 12th marks and The application form was on the official website only. The cut off was around 90 percentile and forys self financing 90 percent. The exam of icar was difficult and competition was high among students.

Life in Dr. YSP University Solan

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Tit bits about the agriculture university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as my father had studied the same course and had the same profession that I'm aiming for. For improvements i would like to recommend more practicals rather than theory classes as, practical knowledge is just as important as theoretical knowledge. The frequency of exams is a problem. There is very less gap between examinations which makes it difficult to prepare for the vast subjects. Plus, the marking is strict, and the criteria to pass the exams are also complicated.

From 7th semester H.DF.C bank took interview and 13 students have their placement in their bank. Highest package was 42000 per month and lowest was 30000 per month. 80 percent and above 80 I will do job after graduation

This college was my first preference because of it's reputation and populatrity in country .I chose this college because some of my friends were studying in this college and they gave me positive reviews about this college making it my preference over other college.
