What Students Say
Likes
- Placements and future plans, students study too hard for their future.
- Department and education. The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department is quite good when it comes to curriculum but it is quite difficult to follow.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure and annual maintenance of college is quite poor. Campus is not cleaned and every where it is like dustbin.
- Environment. Locals around are too rigid when it comes to language. College surrounding area filled with local market and always dirty and unhygienic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite clean and neat for the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and structure is so beneficial for GATE students and students who are aspiring for Analog and Digital domains. Regarding the difficulty of the course - the course is quite difficult compared to other departments because ECE itself a difficult course and the grading system here is Absolute grading. So we have to get bare minimum marks to clear the subject.
Internships Opportunities
Students get intership opportunities same as other NITs. Students who study alot get good placement and internship opportunities. In and Off Campus. In the end it is with students what they do. Many students get internship opportunities in 3rd yr and 2nd yr women.
Placement Experience
Actually placements are good when it comes to college because of students continuous efforts. For electronics companies like Texas Instruments and Synopsis take interns and full time employees. For CST a IT the placements are quite good before recession. After recession everyone is hoping for the betterment in placements. Many students appear for GATE and GRE for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students who are eligible for few waiver can avail it quite easily. The cost of education is average. Students who were unable to avail few waiver through JOSAA can avail it later in college. Students get financial aids through various non-profitable organisations and also from NSP. College alumni provide a special scholarship program for merit students. In campus there are no employment roles as such for students.
Campus Life
When it comes to Infrastructure it is quite bad compared to other NITs. Students participate and organise various club activities and departmental fest but in the end it is the students who do everything. After Lockdown all facilities like swimming pool and Gym are getting renovated and few of the indoor play grounds are being built. Students have pay an annual maintenance for swimming pool as it is from alumni other than that no expenses for sports and clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are worst among all. Though students can manage the everyday menu still cooks don't know how to cook. They all cook same dal and sabji every single day. The labours here are not acquainted with the quality assurance and the maintenance of the hostel is quite low. Private colleges are better than this. The hostel infrastructure is quite old. Most of them were built in 1950s and about to fall and degrade.
Admission
I got admission through JOSAA after clearing JEE main. According to previous year's ranking list I was eligible for CST here but I got ETC by the end of 6th round. After completing process through JOSAA, I have gone to college website to get through the dates of reporting and everything was smooth. We can join on any date in the week that they have mentioned.
Other Applied Colleges
NIT Warangal | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
College maintenance is poor. Not up to the mark.
