Review on Beary Institute of Technology

The College is situated above a hill near Netravati river and the surrounding environment is very green.The college ranks 4th in top engineering colleges in Mangalore and is applying for NAAC and NBA this year and will get a grade soon.Tge interaction of the College with other colleges is less and can be improved. Other facilities like labs and teachers interaction to students are quite good.External exams takes place once at the end of semester after 4 or 5 months of each semester start and internal exams are conducted at the end of each month.

I did My internship in Bearys Group which is a Construction company and the owner of the company himself is the owner of our college. There was no stipend for us but few students in Computer science department and Electronics and communication department did get a stipend of 8 to 9000 on their internship. Our work in the site was to mostly check the plan to construction or to verify that the Bar distribution in the beam column and slab is following the plan.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th sem onwards. Placements are not soo good.But almost around 60 percent of students gets placed in various companies at not so high salary. Many students go for further studies. I plan to work for sometime and then go for any further studies.

The fee for CS department is the max ranging upto 1.5 laks and aver E&C department gets upto 80000.Civil and mechanical ranges upto 60000. Local students get two minority scholarships namely NSP(national) and SSP(state).

Fests include College fists College Fests sports day ..etc. college participated in various sports inter college sports events . But there are no clubs related things. The College has students from both Kerala and Mangalore which lets students explore different culters.

The hostel is very good one room has 3 beds and each floor has 13 such rooms. There are 3 washrooms and Bathrooms on each floor and a geyser is provided on each floor there are around 250 students in hostel. Registration for hostel can be done right with the College Registration.

For local Karnataka students there is CET test and based on its rank there fees can be reduced and students who did not clear CET may take admission through management. Registration can be through calling the admission section or by filling the form available on the College website. It is affiliated to VTU and exams takes place according to the university. There are two internal exams free from VTU.
