Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Currently I am pursuing chemical engineering and till now it is a good experience, we have not been introduced completely to our core subjects as this is our2nd sem only , but talking to seniors and me tors we have realised that this course is easy as compared to other courses and also students of this course get placements easily. Like this year chemical engineering placement rate was 97% which is 2nd best after mechanical. Also course has included subjects like mpp , computer programming, maths which makes you multitalented but your schedule little busy.I think teaching method is not good in our college, teachers can teach us by using more technology which will make course easier and more interesting to us.Exam are always around you plus those hard quizzes , yeah you can't skip them

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Our senior has got internship working on a transformer project for a company located in Surat . Companies that provides internships are Amazon samsung . Also student are provided internship during their 3rd year and I have not much knowledge of internship as I am in just my 1st year

Placement Experience

3

6th semester students are eligible for campus placement, I know a senior student having a package of 52 lpa during his 3rd year . Bsnl, aarti industries,Oracle, reliance,Amazon, Google, Microsoft. Highest package secured this year was 52 lakhs by 4 people , percentage of student placed has decreased a bit in last year due to recession but still in core branch like chemical and mechanical engineering has increased to 90 + placement rate.In it sector it is about 65 percent. My plan is to secure a good placement by the end of this degree

Fees and Financial Aid

As my family income is less than 5 lakhs per year therefore for me the tution fee is one third of total amount which is around 47000,and adding messfee + hostel fee it costs up to 75000.In starting you have to pay 10000 extra as mess fee for safety reasons. Also institute provides many scholarship to students like i have received recently 15000 rupees from my hostel funds as an scholarship. Some scholarship like SARC, SCHOLARSHIP FOR GIRLS ETC. are given frequently to beneficiary.Since my admission there is no hike in fees and i wish it didn't hike ????.

Campus Life

3.5

Many sports activities like intrabranch, intrahostel, inter nit, super9 for cricket tournament,super7 for basketball, tournament etc. Many clubs are there for example prayas (for teaching children),sicrew , bawre, criminals, kalaakar

Hostel Facilities

3.5

College food is nice especially our hostel (BH2)it is very good to other hostels , students of other hostels come here in our hostel ????????.Menu includes a good breakfast includes cornflakes, milk or paratha or bread omlette or fruits lunch including roti chawal, daal sabji, curd, salad and dinner roti ,sabji ,salad, daal, chawal four times paneer in a week and 2 times non veg and Snacks also provided at 5 pm .Hostels are given to you during registration process if you want it they will ask it but dmin first year you have shared room .Room is average ,but good balcony view???? we get a cuboard to store items , electricity is available 24×7 hrs , lan connection is there.

Admission

Through jee exam I got a good percentile to secure my admission in this college.Nta conduct jee mains exam by clearing which you are eligible to get admission in nits and also for iits.So once you have cleared exam then next process is josaa counselling which has 6 rounds after josaa there is csab counselling for those who are still left and can't get any colleges.Csab has two rounds ,so I have took admission here through csab ,i don't like the admission criteria because it is too complex and timetaking process. Also our college offers scholarship to financial week students ,and for sc st there is no tution fee in our college.

Other Applied Colleges

National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Civil Engineering)

Civil engineering is something that I want to avoid therefore I haven't applied for this college and degree.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
