Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty good, there are 6 sems with practicals and viva and exams on a regular basis. There are seminars conducted with guests from our field. There are industry visits and opportunities for placements.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 71000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 35000 per sem which includes the course fee with library facilities. If someone stays in hostel , the fee is taken along with mess food.There are few opportunities for employment.

Campus Life

The campus was good. There are cultural events like fest farewell freshers which provide opportunity to showcase talent like song dance drama. There are sports events like cricket football .There is a auditorium where quiz takes place.

Admission

Eligibility in this course is 10+2 just and admissions is easy you come to Campus they make you sit for the admission. They take a test cet which is not really required but is a criteria.The waiting time is long.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. ISI has a 100% placement record for B.Stat- M.Stat students. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan & Chase, Amazon, etc. come for placements. I have applied for institute of genetic engineering for the same course BSc genetics but I to admission in Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical sciences because they are the only other colleges in West Bengal who provides BSc genetics as their course and I choose this college because this is under GIS group and this is well known in West Bengal.
