Sports, dance, debate, fest, farewell, some teachers, freshers.

Dislikes

Laboratory, lab equipments, dress, too the tight, office members, certain bad teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good and relevant, less industry opportunities from here, the lab is okay, the teachers are okay, the faculty keeps on changing and they dont finish the syllabus most of the time. Exams are quite tough and so on

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 71000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Every sem fees is 35500 andso 71 k each year and bsc course was previously 3 years ,now its 4 years so i dont know the exact fees structure which has been revised though and scholarships not given , aids not much .

Campus Life

Building is big , lift doesn't work , they dont allow good songs in fest, there is politics , and teachers are not always very helpful , sports a lot of activities occur and seminars also , so can participate

Admission

Admission process was okay , smooth , not much trouble , entranc exam not much important here , anyone is eligible who passed class12. Exams are frequent, 4 ca then semester, improvement area is laboratory machines.

1.The faculties of modern physics and computational physics were exceptional and in my opinion the best in the city. 2.Since i was more inclined towards modern physics i chose this particular college. 3.The curriculam prepares the students for higher studies like masters and doctorate. 4.The frequency and timing of exam coincided with calcutta university. 5.Areas of improvement-Better Equipment for Optics lab and more digital equipments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. I have applied for institute of genetic engineering for the same course BSc genetics but I to admission in Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical sciences because they are the only other colleges in West Bengal who provides BSc genetics as their course and I choose this college because this is under GIS group and this is well known in West Bengal.
