Dislikes

Many buildings are under construction which is irritating
8 am classes are difficult in winter as we have single digit temperatures
Climate here is extremes in every seasons

I have choosen Metallurgy according to my rank,I feel satisfied but there are some problems which we face while everyone saying that only CSE ece are better,yeah I hope placements should come to all branches equally

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee will be according to categories, scholarships will be available for minor categories like NSP government provides scholarships,Stipend is available for PhD and Mtech scholars for BTech there will be no stipend,but with merit in departments we can get scholarships

Campus Life

Cognizance is our tech fest and Thomso is our Cultural fest which happens early,they give many opportunities to off campus people are also allowed,there many clubs in our campus both tech and cultural, I am in finearts club which has really great opportunities

Admission

Admission process is through jee mains and if we qualify (cut off will be according to reservations and it changes every year depending upon on paper) then jee advanced will be held if we are passed we can apply for IIT's and NIT's according to our preferences so that we can be allotted according to our rank

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. If you get good rank , you will get this college. You will have to get air under 5000 to get in iit roorkee or any top iit....Read More

1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More
