The overall course curriculum of civil engineering department is more than sufficient for campus placements.It covers nearly all the syllabus that are required for any competitive exams like SSC JE,REB JE,GATE etc.The faculty members and the professor are highly experienced in their respective fields and they are helpful too.

Every year different companies offer internship to students of civil engineering department as well as to other departments students also mainly during the summer and winter breaks Companies like ONGC,AAI,PWD,IOCL, NEEPCO provide vocational training/internship to the students of NIT AGARTALA

The placement ratio of NIT AGARTALA is very good.The highest package of civil engineering department is 16.5LPA, minimum package is 4.5LPA and the average package is 9.7LPA. Every n number of companies visit the campus for core sector as well as for IT sector. Depending upon the demand some PSU do visit the campus.overall the campus placement is very good.The students become eligible for seating in placement drive from 7th semester onwards and continues till 8th semester

The Fee structure of students depends upon the family income as well as on the caste system . students who's family income is below 1 lakh have to pay only 12k per year irrespective of the caste.If the family income is in between 1lakh to 5 lakh students have to pay 74k per year and students who's family income is more than 5lakhs have to bear the full tuition fee i.e. 1lakh 38 thousand Note:- For SC/ST Students the fee structure doesn't depends on the family income they have to pay only 12k per year NB:- For scholarship purpose ,if a student's family income is below 1 lakh and if he/she had a score of 80% and above in class 10 or class 12 then he/she had a chance of getting a scholarship called ishan udoy which is 87k per year and for students who's family income is above 1lakh and 5lakh they will also get benefitted by rest others scholarship under the National scholarship portal programe of Government of India

The campus life of NIT AGARTALA is a mesmerizing one . Students will not feel any boring as the campus gives n number of opportunities and refreshments.The Greenery of the campus always attracts the more. Every year NIT AGARTALA organise the yearly cultural fest called MOKSHA and Technical Fest AAYAM. Apart from these fest there are many others fest like Dandiya night, Freshers party, Agomoni etc. NIT AGARTALA has a beautiful library which consists of uncountable number of books for every department. The classroom of NIT AGARTALA of civil engineering department is very good and there are smart classes and virtual classroom facilities as well. The sports complex of NIT AGARTALA is the biggest sports complex of North east India.

The admission to NIT AGARTALA was under taken through JEE(Mains). The eligibility criteria is that a candidate should have to pass class 12 board exam for appearing in JEE(Mains).The cutoff for SC/ST is little bit low as compared to the Cutoff for General/OBC
