What Students Say

Likes

Practical labs are well maintained and students are allowed their anytime.
Faculty is helpful which includes the professors, lab staff.
Sports ground is available for all students their is no barrier or time to play .

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old ,can be renewed as well as maintained.
Gardens are out of bound for students, they should be open for everyone.
Administrative staff should be more helpful in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bsc. (H) Zoology is very practical course. Exams are based on semesters. The internal exam are sent by college. And final score is prepared by University of Delhi . Zoology is all about the fauna present in the world. It is very good course if want to explore new life in uncharted territory.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Placement Experience

Students are available for placement from 4th semester . Various startups and companies come for the placements and interview. The no. Of students for placement is based on the students opting to be placed. Most of the student have different plans after the graduation. Like myself , I'm planning for the civil services.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is very less as compared to other universities. That is because of the central University i.e University of Delhi. The scholarship are available in the college for girls and economic weaker sections.

Campus Life

Annual festival do happen at ANDC . Name of the fest is Leothrixx.Performers are called from across India based on the budget. The library here is fine have many books of various genre. Other extra curricular activities includes various society functions and sports . ANDC have a sports ground, basketball court, badminton court, and for indoor include table tennis etc.

Admission

Admission is based on the CUET UG exam . Based on the percentile you get the college. There are reservation available based on their quota. It is an annual exam and application are available on samarth portal

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is very nice and mostly acceptable in big multinational companies and firms. The whole world is moving towards AI and computers. So jobs in this field are high. And I also had a good interest in computers. That's why I chose this course.

Placement is not that great as I hear it's around 400000 to 500000 annum after 3 years of graduation companies like wipro TCL etc. highest package as I know is 22lpa in 2023 75% students places I will pursue further studies after graduation

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.

The course that I am pursuing i.e Zoology Hons is very relevant and comprehensive to the core principles of the subject. It is very well structured into topics for all 8 semesters which makes learning every topic very easy and logical.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have pcm in 12 th and in also subjects i am best in chemistry so that's why I choosed it . And andc is mostly a science course college it has mostly science courses only . It has good labs facility most necessary for my course. We have exams per semester only which are average not much hard or easy .

from probably the 3rd year students are eligible for campus recruitments, infotech i think came to our college as far as my knowledge goes, the avg package that im aware of is 3-4.5LPA, which is decent in terms of placement after bachelors, my plans although are to pursue higher education since the package mentioned is not good in my eyes

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

This college was no.1 in my CUET preference list. I did few other courses for safer side but this course as well college was my top choice as it covers a lot of areas which are taught in MBBS and is quite interesting. Delhi University has 3 colleges for Biomedical Sciences, in which ANDC is the top college in terms of ranking that's why out of all three colleges this was my first choice. A few other options that I kept for me was microbiology, biochemistry in colleges such as Gargi and Deshbandhu. The college accepts your scores from CUET in subjects biology, chemistry and physics. The acceptance is done on the basis of your scores as well as your preference list. As this college was first on my preference list, I didn't get to face any rejection. The cutoffs for my admission year of 2024 was around 425+ for general category....Read More
