MBBS pros and cons

MBBS is a vast course. It consists of 4.5 years of studying along with 1 year of internship. I wanted to choose this field because I can be helpful to other people. Internals are conducted every 3 months and you have to give total of 4 professional exams the duration of 4.5 years

As an MBBS student after graduation, we have to do 1 year of paid internship in our own college. Then there are opportunities for higher studies by giving entrance exams. Also, we can join any hospital after an internship to earn money.

As I am studying in a government medical college the fees is low as compared to other private colleges. The total cost comes around 2 lakhs which includes hostel accommodation. There are many scholarships available for the financialy deprived . In internship salary is provided

Many fests and festivals take place in our colleges every year. The student union makes sure of it. The library is vast and all books for our course are available. We have a large playground and many sports events take place throughout the year.

Hostels are not excellent but are good and worth the money. Every hostel has its own mess and the food is good. The hostel registration is done along with the admission. We have a total of 4 gents hostels and 2 ladies hostels. New hostels are also being constructed.

The admission process was hectic. We have to take an entrance exam called NEET and have to score above cutoff marks. Then the college sends you an enrollment letter and you have to visit the college for the admission process. In college, you have to fill up the forms and then pay the fees. The process can be improved a lot but I was okay with it.
